Vehicle Sockets, USB Ports, Wireless Charging, and Floor Mats
115 V Socket
- Open socket flap 3.
- Insert the plug of the device into 115 V socket 1.
- When the on-board electrical system voltage is sufficient, indicator lamp 2 lights up.
USB Ports in the Rear Passenger Compartment
Depending on vehicle equipment, USB ports may be located:
- In the storage compartment in the front center console
- In the storage compartment under the front armrest
- In the electronics compartment in the center console of the rear passenger compartment
Vehicles may have a single or double USB port in the storage compartment in the front center console and under the front armrest.
You can charge a USB device such as a mobile phone using a suitable charging cable. Depending on the vehicle equipment, devices can be charged with up to 20 V (5 A) when the vehicle is switched on.
Wireless Charging of Mobile Phones
WARNING: Risk of injury due to objects being stowed incorrectly. Ensure objects cannot slide or be thrown around. Close lockable stowage spaces before starting a journey. Secure heavy, hard, pointed, sharp-edged, fragile, or bulky objects in the trunk/cargo compartment.
WARNING: Risk of fire from placing objects in the mobile phone storage compartment. Do not place any objects other than the mobile phone, especially metal objects.
NOTE: Damage to objects may occur due to electromagnetic fields in the mobile phone storage compartment. Do not place credit cards, storage media, ski passes, or other sensitive objects in the compartment.
NOTE: Ensure no liquids enter the mobile phone storage compartment.
Mobile Phone Connection to Exterior Antenna
- Mobile phone may be connected to the vehicle's exterior antenna via the charging module depending on vehicle equipment.
- Charging and wireless connection are available only when the vehicle is switched on.
- Small mobile phones may not charge in all positions; large mobile phones that do not rest flat may not charge or connect.
- Mobile phones may heat up during charging depending on background apps.
- Remove protective cover for efficient charging and connection (unless required for wireless charging).
Wirelessly Charging a Mobile Phone in the Front Storage Compartment
- Place the mobile phone as close to the center of mat 1 as possible with the display facing upwards.
- When a message is shown in the multimedia system, the mobile phone is being charged.
- Malfunctions during charging are displayed in the multimedia system.
- NOTE: The mat can be removed for cleaning using clean, lukewarm water.
Installing/Removing Floor Mats
WARNING: Risk of accident due to objects in the driver’s footwell. Objects may impede pedal travel or block pedals. Ensure floor mats are properly installed and secured. Do not use loose mats or place mats on top of each other.
Installing Floor Mats
- Slide the corresponding seat backwards and lay the floor mat in the footwell.
- Press studs 1 onto holders 2.
- Adjust the corresponding seat.
Removing Floor Mats
- Slide the corresponding seat backwards.
- Pull the floor mat off holders 2.
- Remove the floor mat.
Inserting or Removing Floor Mats on the Second Row
- To insert: push the corresponding seat on the first row forwards and lay the floor mat in the rear footwell.
- To remove: push the corresponding seat on the first row forwards and remove the floor mat from the rear footwell.
