Notes for Persons with Electronic Medical Aids

Despite careful development of vehicle systems, Mercedes-Benz AG cannot completely rule out interactions between vehicle systems and electronic medical aids such as cardiac pacemakers.

Certain components may generate magnetic fields similar to permanent magnets, for example near the multimedia and sound systems or the seats.

This may result in isolated cases in:

  • Malfunction of medical aids
  • Adverse health effects

Observe the notes and warnings of the medical aid manufacturer. If in doubt, contact the device manufacturer or your doctor.

If uncertainty persists, Mercedes-Benz AG recommends limiting the use of electrical vehicle systems or maintaining distance from affected components.

Repairs and maintenance in the following areas must only be carried out by a qualified specialist workshop:

  • Vehicle components carrying live voltage
  • Transmission antenna
  • Multimedia and sound systems
