MBUX Multimedia System
Touch Control and Control Panel
MBUX stands for Mercedes-Benz User Experience.
- Operating Touch Control: Used to navigate vertically and horizontally using swipes. Confirm selection by pressing the Touch Control.
- Central display: Touchscreen for home screen overview and operating the multimedia system.
- Control panel includes:
- Fingerprint sensor
- Switches the MBUX multimedia system on/off
- Switches sound on/off
- Adjusts the volume
- Further operating options: Conduct dialog with MBUX Voice Assistant.

Home Screen Overview

Operating the MBUX Multimedia System
Using Touch Control
- Shows the home screen
- Swipe in the direction of the arrow to navigate
- Press to confirm selection
- Return to previous display
- Make or accept a call
- Reject or end a call
- Increase volume: swipe upwards; decrease: swipe down
- Mute sound: press
- Call up favorites (press briefly) or add favorites (press and hold)
- Start the MBUX Voice Assistant
Using the Touchscreen
- Select menu items or entries by tapping
- Increase map scale: double-tap with one finger
- Reduce map scale: tap with two fingers
- Enter characters using keypad or handwriting
- Navigate menus: swipe up/down/left/right
- Zoom in/out: move two fingers together/apart
- Rotate digital map: turn with two fingers
- Save destination: touch and hold
- Call up home screen: swipe up with three fingers
- Adjust volume: move finger left or right
- Call up global menu: touch and hold until Options appear
