Navigation Window
- Route guidance active: displays destination information, route list, lane recommendations
- Calls up the Control Center in the status line
- Searches for parking facilities in the vicinity

Navigation Menu
- Enter a POI or address and additional destination entries
- Interrupt route guidance
- Repeat navigation announcement; toggle navigation announcements on/off
- Route and Traffic menus: route overview, intermediate destinations, alternative routes, traffic incidents
- Settings: View, Messages & Acoustic Signals, and Route
Toll System Overview
The toll system uses RFID for data transfer between control unit and toll station. It is switched off at the factory. Registration and activation can take up to 24 hours.
- Activate toll system in MBUX settings
- Register the control unit ID in the Mercedes me app
- Number of vehicle occupants can be transmitted manually or automatically
- % System operational in USA and Canada; limited in Mexico
- Follow prescribed speed and make entries with vehicle stationary
Entering a Destination
- Online search requires Internet connection, Mercedes me connect, and user account
- Destination input line, search results, delete entry, adopt search result
- Handwriting recognition, voice assistant, switch written language, digits, upper/lower-case letters
- % Online search for POIs may show additional info such as opening times and prices
Route Guidance
- Calls up alternative routes, calculates route, selects POI, shares destination, saves as favorite
- Route overview: Select Routes > Alternative route
- Start route guidance: Select "Let's Go!"
- Detailed display: pull bar above "Let's Go!" symbol, online content may include ratings, prices, weather
- Share destination: select Share, scan QR code
- Save as favorite: select Favorite
- Call destination: select Call if phone number available
Route Options
- Search POIs in vicinity: select In The Vicinity, search by category, entry, or personal POI
- Select route type: fast route, trailer mode if coupled, online routes if available
- Calculate alternative routes: Navigation menu > View > Activate Route Overview after Start
- Select alternative routes: Navigation menu > Alternative Routes > swipe to display > Start
- Commuter route: Navigation menu > Route > Activate Commuter Route
- Avoiding route sections: Navigation menu > Route > Avoid Options > Activate/Deactivate
- AR route guidance: Tap indicator lamp on map; video image shows additional info
Map Operations
- Increase map scale: double-tap with one finger
- Decrease map scale: tap with two fingers
- Move map: swipe with one finger; reset to current vehicle position: select Center
- Select map orientation: tap compass symbol; cycles through 2D north-up, 2D travel direction, 3D travel direction, full route view
Using Services
- Internet connection, Mercedes me connect, user account required
- % Service availability may vary by country
- Traffic info: Navigation module > View > Map Symbols > Activate Traffic Incidents and Free Flowing Traffic
- Hazard warnings: symbols shown if option activated
- Online map content: e.g., weather information, displayed depending on map scale
Parking Service
- Observe maximum permitted headroom clearance to avoid vehicle damage
- Activate Parking in Navigation module > Tap on map > Select parking option
- Displayed info: destination address, distance, garage details, occupancy, max height, tariffs, payment options, services, telephone number
- Calculate route to parking option
- % Service not available in all countries
Dashcam
- Observe country-specific legal regulations
- % Use only FAT32 or exFAT USB devices; file size limited by format (FAT32 max 4 GB)
- Gallery app: switch write protection, delete video files
- Selecting USB device: select USB symbol > choose device
- Recording mode: Loop Recording (overwrites oldest files), Individual Recording (stops at memory limit)
- Start recording: select Start Recording; end recording: select End Recording
- % Geo-coordinates may be shown depending on country

Telephony Notes
- Contacts from mobile phone shown automatically
- MAP (Message Access Profile): use mobile phone message functions
- HFP (Hands-Free Profile): wireless telephony via multimedia system
- SAP (SIM Access Profile): car telephone accesses SIM card via exterior antenna
- Bluetooth audio functionality works with any mobile device
- % Network issues can disconnect calls (SIM compatibility, coverage)
- HD Voice calls supported if both devices and network support it

- Bluetooth device name of connected phone(s)

Telephony Operating Modes
- One mobile phone connected via Bluetooth
- Two mobile phones connected via Bluetooth (two-phone mode), full functionality for both
Connecting a Mobile Phone
- Activate Bluetooth on phone and multimedia system
- Navigation: Connect New Device > Select phone
- Confirm matching code on both devices
Functions in Telephony Menu
- Making calls: accept, end, answer with message, conference, manage waiting calls
- Managing contacts: download, format, delete favorites
- Messages: read-aloud, dictate new message
