Touch Control: The content on the driver display is controlled using the control elements on the left side of the steering wheel. Touch Control is used to navigate vertically and horizontally by swiping with one finger. Confirm selection by pressing the Touch Control.
% To operate Touch Control effectively, use the tip of your thumb if possible. Sensitivity can also be set on the central display.
- Briefly press main menu button
- Select a menu by swiping left or right on Touch Control
- Press Touch Control to confirm
Driver Display Menus
Notes on menus on the driver display:
& WARNING: Risk of distraction due to information systems and communications equipment. Operate only when traffic situation permits. If unsure, stop the vehicle and operate while stationary. Observe legal requirements of the country you are in.
The following menus can be called up via the menu bar:
- Understated
- Sport
- Classic
- Navigation
- Assistance
- Service
In some menus, you can choose between different display content on the center display area. Options allow further configuration for menu-specific display content.
Head-Up Display (HUD)
Function
The Head-up Display projects various content into the driver's field of vision. Use the HUD menu bar to select different contexts:
- Minimal
- Sport
- Standard
- ECO display
- Settings
- Head-up Display on/off
Head-Up Display Content with Navigation
- Navigation instructions
- Distance to next route event
- Steer Assist status
- Current speed
- Set speed in the driving system (e.g., cruise control)
- Detected traffic signs (Traffic Sign Assist)
Incoming call: "Call Waiting" message appears on both HUD and driver display.
System Limits
Visibility can be affected by:
- Seat position
- Image position setting
- Ambient light
- Wet road surfaces
- Objects on the display cover
- Polarization in sunglasses
Operating the Head-Up Display
Selecting Display Content
- Press the main menu button on the left
- Swipe upwards on the left-hand Touch Control to select HUD menu bar
Switching Between Display Contents
- Swipe right or left on the left-hand Touch Control to preview content
- Press button to confirm desired content
Switching Back to Driver Display
Setting Position and Brightness
- On HUD menu bar, select Settings by swiping left or right
- Press left-hand Touch Control to display current position and brightness
- Adjust position: swipe up or down on left-hand Touch Control
- Adjust brightness: swipe right or left on left-hand Touch Control
- Settings saved automatically
- Press Go button to exit settings
Switching Head-Up Display On/Off
Switching On:
- Swipe upwards on left-hand Touch Control
- Press on left-hand Touch Control
Switching Off:
- Swipe upwards on left-hand Touch Control
- Select Head-up Display by swiping on left-hand Touch Control
- Press on left-hand Touch Control
