Overview of Smartphone Integration
With Smartphone Integration, you can use certain functions on your mobile phone via the multimedia system display. Only one mobile phone at a time can be connected via Smartphone Integration. For two phone mode, only one additional phone can be connected via Bluetooth. Internet connection and the appropriate app are required. The mobile phone must be switched on and connected via USB or wireless (where supported).

- % First activation must be carried out when vehicle is stationary and parking brake is applied
Starting and Ending Smartphone Integration
- Start via My Devices menu
- End via My Devices menu or disconnect cable
- % Disconnect only when vehicle is stationary
Overview of Transferred Vehicle Data
- System information: software release, anonymized system ID
- Driving status: transmission engaged, parked/standstill/rolling/driving, day/night mode, drive type
- Position data: coordinates, speed, compass direction, acceleration
Mercedes-Benz Emergency Call System (eCall)
eCall can save lives in accidents. Only works where mobile coverage is available. Deactivation requires authorized dealer. Vehicle must be switched on for automatic calls. eCall is activated at the factory by default.
Automatic Emergency Call
- Requirements: vehicle switched on, starter battery sufficiently charged
- Triggered after airbag deployment or automatic emergency stop
- Voice connection to Mercedes-Benz emergency call center
- Accident data transmitted
- SOS button flashes until call is finished
- If no connection, dial local emergency number manually
Manual Emergency Call
- Use SOS button (press ≥1 second) or MBUX Voice Assistant
- Voice connection and accident data transmitted to emergency center
- Remain in vehicle until voice connection established
- Operator decides on rescue or police dispatch
Data Transmitted During eCall
- Vehicle GPS position, route GPS position
- Direction of travel, vehicle ID, drive type, number of occupants
- Mercedes me connect status, manual/automatic call status, time of accident
- Language setting on multimedia system
Media Menu Symbols and Functions
- Play: start or continue playback
- Rest: pause playback
- Repeat track: once = repeat playlist, twice = repeat track, thrice = deactivate
- Random playback: play tracks in random order
- Skip forwards/backwards
- Additional options: show extra options
- Categories: browse/search lists, albums, artists
- Search: search in active menu (artists, genres, moods)
- Settings: adjust system settings
- Home: return to home screen
- Messaging: call up messages
- Full screen: switch to full screen mode

Satellite Radio Setup
- Requirements: satellite radio equipment, registration with provider
- Activation via system or online (USA: siriusxm.com, Canada: siriusxm.ca)
- Activation may take up to 10 minutes
Music and Sport Alerts
- Set alerts for favorite artists, tracks, or sporting events
- Activate messages for a category
- Add messages for a category (Artist Alerts or Song Alerts)
- Delete messages in a category or all entries
Sound Settings
- Standard Sound System: Equalizer (treble, mid, bass), Balance & Fader, Volume (automatic adjustment)
- Burmester® 3D/High-End 3D: Equalizer, Balance & Fader, Sound Focus, VIP Seat (high-end), Sound Profiles, Volume (automatic)
ASSYST PLUS Service Interval Display
- Displays remaining time/distance before next service
- Hide display using back button on steering wheel
- Service intervals may shorten under heavy use (short trips, idling, cold starts)
- Qualified workshop required for service and maintenance
Engine Compartment: Hood Operation
- & WARNING: Risk of accident if hood unlocked while driving
- Check hood is locked before each trip
- & WARNING: Risk of injury from sudden hood movement
- Do not open/close hood if someone is in range of movement
- & WARNING: Risk of burns from hot engine or fluids
- Allow engine to cool before opening; in case of fire, keep hood closed and call fire service
- & WARNING: Risk of injury from moving parts
- Components may run unexpectedly even when drive system is off
