Tesla Cybertruck 2025-2026 Vehicle Identification Number

Vehicle Identification Number

You can find the VIN at the following locations:

  • The Tesla mobile app.
  • Touch Controls > Software.
  • Stamped onto the driver's side A-pillar. Visible through the windshield on the driver's side.
  • Printed on the Vehicle Certification label, located on the door pillar. Visible when the driver’s door is open.

Emission Control Label

The emission control label is located on the opening face of the powered frunk.

Identification Labels

It is important to understand your vehicle's original tire sizes and pressures, and the GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) and GAWR (Gross Axle Weight Rating). This information is on two labels attached to the front door pillar on the driver's side:

  1. Tire and Loading Information Label
  2. Vehicle Certification Label

WARNING: Overloading Cybertruck can adversely affect braking and handling, compromising safety or causing damage.

CAUTION: Never store large amounts of liquid. Significant spills can cause electrical malfunctions.

Tire and Loading Information Label

This label provides:

  • Maximum occupant seating positions
  • Maximum vehicle capacity weight
  • Original tire sizes
  • Recommended cold inflation pressures for front and rear tires

NOTE: Do not change this label even if using different tires in the future. When fully loaded, double-check tire pressures (see Maintaining Tire Pressures on page 211).

WARNING: Label tire pressures do not apply when towing. See Towing a Trailer on page 112 for towing pressures.

Vehicle Certification Label

This label specifies weight ratings based on factory tires and recommended pressures:

  • GVWR: Maximum total mass of Cybertruck including passengers, fluids, and cargo.
  • GAWR FRT & RR: Maximum distributed weight each axle can support.

CAUTION: Do not exceed GVWR or individual GAWR to prevent damage.

Vehicle Loading

Roof Racks: Use Tesla-approved roof racks only. Maximum load: 220 lb (100 kg) per 2-crossbar set. Distribute load evenly and maintain a low center of gravity. Follow all instructions to avoid damage.

Steps for Determining Correct Load Limit

  1. Locate the placard stating “The combined weight of occupants and cargo should never exceed XXX kg or XXX lbs.”
  2. Calculate combined weight of driver and passengers.
  3. Subtract passenger weight from XXX kg/lbs to find available cargo capacity.
  4. Check luggage/cargo weight does not exceed available capacity.
  5. For towing, account for trailer load reducing cargo capacity.

WARNING: Carry objects in powered frunk or cargo bed. Loose items in cabin may injure occupants during collision or sharp maneuvers.

Example Load Limit Calculations

Description Total
Vehicle capacity weight 954 lbs (433 kg)
Subtract occupant weight (2 x 150 lbs / 68 kg) 300 lbs (136 kg)
Available cargo weight 654 lbs (297 kg)
Vehicle capacity weight (5 passengers) 954 lbs (433 kg)
Subtract occupant weight (5 x 150 lbs / 68 kg) 750 lbs (340 kg)
Available cargo weight 204 lbs (93 kg)

Cautions and Warnings

  • WARNING: Drive cautiously with heavy loads. Increase braking distance, reduce speed, and avoid abrupt steering.
  • WARNING: Maximum loading is limited by volume or weight capacity. Do not overload beyond GVWR or GAWR. Overloading can cause damage, injury, or death.

Dimensions - Exterior
