Adjusting Exterior Mirrors

Adjust the exterior mirrors by touching Controls > Mirrors. Press the left scroll button on the steering wheel to choose Left or Right mirror, then use the scroll button to adjust:

  • Roll up/down to angle the mirror vertically
  • Press left/right to angle the mirror inward/outward

You can save your side mirror position in your driver profile.

Mirror Auto Tilt

Automatically tilts mirrors downward when reversing. Enable/disable via Controls > Mirrors > Mirror Auto Tilt. Adjust tilt via Adjust Tilted Position and save. Mirrors return to normal when shifting out of Reverse. Mirror Auto Tilt must be enabled to adjust tilted position.

Mirror Auto Dim

Automatically dims exterior mirrors under low light or to reduce glare. Enable/disable via Controls > Mirrors > Mirror Auto Dim. Both mirrors have heaters controlled through Climate.

Folding Mirrors

Manually fold/unfold via Controls > Fold/Unfold Mirrors or using left scroll button multifunction. Mirrors unfold automatically at 31 mph (50 km/h). Set automatic folding at exit via Controls > Mirrors > Mirror Auto Fold. Save specific locations with Fold Mirrors > Save Location. Remove saved location via Controls > Unfold Mirrors > Remove Location.

CAUTION: Mirrors may not fold if driving faster than 3 mph (6 km/h). Ice may prevent folding/unfolding; turn off Auto Fold in icy conditions.

Interior Mirrors

Rear View Mirror

Adjust manually.

Vanity Mirrors

Fold sun visor down, use the tab to lower mirror cover. Light turns off when cover is closed.

Convenience Lights

Automatically turn on/off based on activity (unlocking, opening doors, shifting into Park). Control via Controls > Lights. Abbreviated menu available on steering wheel headlight button.

  • Headlights: Exterior lights default to Auto. Options: Off, Parking, On.
  • Dome Lights: Interior map lights turn on/off automatically or manually via lens press.
  • Ambient Lights: On when headlights are on.
  • Accent Lights: Off, On, or Night Only.
  • Footwell Lights: Illuminate front/rear footwells with headlights or convenience lights.
  • Bed Lights: Lights in cargo bed. Set Off, On, or Auto. Auto turns on when parked with tonneau cover or tailgate open.
CAUTION: Ensure headlights and tail lights are On during low visibility conditions.

Headlights

Indicator lights on touchscreen show status:

  • Low beam headlights on
  • Headlights on
  • High beams on / Auto High Beam ready
  • High beams temporarily off due to Auto High Beam

Steering wheel button controls headlights: press to flash, hold to turn on/off with timer.

Auto High Beam

Automatically switches to low beam when light detected in front. Enable/disable via Controls > Lights > Auto High Beam. Auto High Beam is enabled automatically when Full Self-Driving (Supervised) is engaged.

WARNING: Auto High Beam is a convenience feature; always ensure proper headlights for driving conditions.

Turn Signals

Press arrow button on steering wheel to engage. Cancels automatically based on steering angle or manually by pressing again. If Controls > Lights > Automatic Turn Signals is set to Auto Cancel, signals cancel automatically when turn is completed.
