Tesla Cybertruck 2025-2026 Examples of Correct and Incorrect Seating Positions

Examples of Correct and Incorrect Seating Positions

Correct seating position:

  • Passenger seated upright with feet on the floor and backrest properly aligned.

Incorrect seating positions:

  • Passenger's feet not on the floor.
  • Passenger sliding forward on the seat cushion.
  • Passenger reclining the backrest to a lying down position while the vehicle is moving.

Inflation Effects

WARNING: When airbags inflate, a fine powder is released. This powder can irritate the skin and should be thoroughly flushed from the eyes and any cuts or abrasions.

After inflation, airbags deflate gradually to cushion occupants and ensure the driver’s vision is not obstructed. After a collision, always have airbags, seat belt pre-tensioners, and related components checked and replaced if necessary.

In a collision, airbags are accompanied by:

  • Doors unlock.
  • Hazard warning lights turn on.
  • Interior lights turn on.
  • High voltage is disabled (contact Roadside Assistance to restore).
  • Seat belt pre-tensioners retract the seat belt anchor and webbing.

Note: Doors may not unlock in some collisions due to damage, and manual release or alternate exit methods may be required.

Airbag Warnings

  • Do not place objects over or near airbags; they could cause harm if inflated during a crash.
  • All occupants should wear seat belts, whether or not an airbag is present.
  • Front seat occupants should not place arms over the airbag module.
  • Airbags inflate rapidly and with force; ensure proper seating and a minimum 10-inch (25 cm) chest-to-airbag distance.
  • Children should sit in rear seats unless regulations allow front seating.
  • Maintain unobstructed space between torso and side of the vehicle for side airbags.
  • Passengers should not lean heads against doors to avoid injury from curtain airbags.
  • Do not block airbags with body parts, objects, or accessories like steering wheel covers, decals, cushions, pillows, or seat covers.
  • After inflation, airbag components may be hot—do not touch until cooled.

Center Console

Depending on configuration, the center console may include wireless phone chargers, a 120V power outlet, USB-C outlets, a rear touchscreen, cup holders, and a storage compartment. To open, pivot the cover upward; lower it to close.

WARNING: Keep hands and fingers away from the opening edge and hinge to avoid injury.

Rear Console

The rear console in the center of the second row serves as an armrest for rear passengers and includes two cup holders. Lower it by pulling the loop in the seat back and lowering the center headrest. Ensure the loop is retracted for proper locking. Raise it by pushing the headrest fully upward until the console latches.

Rear Seat Storage

To maximize cargo space, the second-row seat cushions fold upward. The rear seat is split into two sections. Pull the tab on the inside of the rear door and lift the front of the seat until it clicks. To return seats, pull the tab while pressing the seat cushion down.

WARNING: Ensure the area is clear of objects and hands when folding rear seat cushions. Ensure cushions are fully locked before driving or seating passengers.
