Tesla Cybertruck 2025-2026 Overview of Climate Controls

Overview of Climate Controls

NOTE: Depending on market region, configuration, and vehicle manufacture date, your vehicle may not be equipped with all components and features listed.

Climate controls are available at the bottom of the touchscreen. By default, climate control is set to Auto, which maintains optimum comfort in all but the most severe weather conditions. When you adjust the cabin temperature while in Auto, the system automatically adjusts heating, air conditioning, air distribution, and fan speed to maintain the cabin at your selected temperature.

Touch the displayed temperature at the bottom of the touchscreen to access the main climate controls screen, where you can adjust your preferences. You can return to Auto at any time by touching Auto. Touch the power button on the main climate controls screen to toggle on or off. For quick access to common controls, touch the temperature at the bottom of the screen to display the climate popup.

The touchscreen may display Warming Up or Cooling Down while reaching your preferred temperature. You may hear the fan speed change during this time.

NOTE: The climate control system is powered by the high voltage Battery. Prolonged use decreases driving range.

WARNING: Individuals with limited pain sensitivity (due to diabetes, age, neurological conditions, etc.) should exercise caution when using climate control and seat heaters to avoid burns.

Adjusting Climate Control Settings

Adjust climate preferences hands-free using voice commands. Customize temperature, fan speed, defrost windows, heat seats, and more. For one-touch access to seat heaters and defrosters, add them to My Apps.

Operating Climate Controls

Turn the climate system on or off. Front passenger vent can be adjusted independently. Reduce fan speed to minimize noise. Air can be drawn from outside or recirculated. Auto mode adjusts settings for front and rear cabin, maintaining set temperature when passengers are detected. Fan speed may lower during calls to reduce ambient noise.

  • Choose air flow direction (windshield, face, foot-level vents).
  • Adjust seat heaters (3 levels, Auto adjusts based on cabin temperature).
  • Adjust heated steering wheel (Auto adjusts independently).
  • Turn on wiper defroster.
  • Use Keep Climate On, Dog, and Camp when in Park to maintain cabin temperature.

Climate Popup

Touch the temperature arrows on the bottom of the touchscreen to access quick climate controls:

  • Access main climate screen
  • Enable/disable heated or cooled seats
  • Enable/disable front/rear windshield defrosters
  • Adjust cabin temperature with slider, enable temperature splitting

Keep Climate On, Dog, and Camp

Maintain cabin temperature when in Park:

  • Keep Climate On: Maintains set temperature (e.g., groceries in hot weather)
  • Dog: Keeps cabin comfortable for pets; monitored via mobile app. Windows cannot roll down in Dog mode.
  • Camp: Powers electronics, maintains cabin temperature, allows media and climate control via app. Sentry Mode and alarms are disabled.

Operate these modes only when Cybertruck is not in Low Power Mode and is in Park. Climate settings remain until shifted out of Park or manually turned off.

WARNING: Never leave children or pets unattended. Monitor temperature and well-being. Avoid using features if climate system is malfunctioning or battery is low. Mobile app notifications inform you if modes turn off.

Cabin Overheat Protection

Prevents cabin from becoming dangerously hot in extreme ambient conditions. Activates automatically or via mobile app. Settings:

  • On: Air conditioning operates when cabin temperature exceeds 105°F (40°C) or the selected temperature.
  • Off: Disables Cabin Overheat Protection.

Exclude Home option disables protection at your Home location. Operates up to 12 hours or until battery drops below Low Power Mode threshold. Using this feature consumes battery energy.

WARNING: Cabin may still become dangerously hot due to automatic shut-off or extreme conditions. Never leave children or pets unattended.

Climate Control Operating Tips

  • Mobile app climate activation turns off automatically after 2 hours; re-enable if needed.
  • Fan may turn on in hot weather when parked to cool cabin and battery.
  • Air conditioning may run to cool Battery even if turned off.
  • Normal operation sounds include whining or water circulation.
  • Windshield may fog in humid conditions; water may drain under the vehicle.
  • Reduce fan speed for quieter operation.
  • Reduce acceleration to improve cabin heating/cooling efficiency; Battery needs time to warm for high acceleration afterward.
