Tesla Cybertruck 2025-2026 Glovebox

Glovebox

To open the glovebox, touch Controls > Glovebox. The glovebox opens and the light turns on. You can also open the glovebox with a voice command. To close the glovebox, touch Glovebox again.

For additional security, touch Controls > Safety > Glovebox PIN to set a 4-digit PIN that must be re-entered to open the glovebox.

Note: If left open, the glovebox light eventually turns off. It locks when Cybertruck is locked via mobile app, key card, Walk-Away Door Lock, or Valet Mode. It does not lock when using the touchscreen lock icon.

WARNING: Keep the glovebox closed while driving to prevent injury during a collision or sudden stop.

Seat Pockets

Each front seat has a pocket on the back for small items. Avoid placing sharp objects in seat pockets to prevent tears.

Door Panels

Additional storage is provided on the inside of each front and rear door panel. If Cybertruck loses low voltage power, a rear door manual release is located in each rear door pocket.

Coat Hangers

Each side of the vehicle above the rear window in the second row has a coat hanger next to the reading light. Push to release and push again to retract.

Interior Storage

WARNING: Before opening or closing the powered frunk, ensure the area around the hood is clear of obstacles. Exercise caution near panel edges, doors, powered frunk, and tailgate.

Opening the Powered Frunk

Ensure Cybertruck is in Park, then open the powered frunk by:

  • Approaching with your phone key in your front pocket.
  • Touching the associated Open icon on the touchscreen.
  • Pressing the Frunk button in the mobile app.
  • Pressing the center button under the hood closure.
Note: If low voltage power is unavailable, see alternative opening instructions.

CAUTION: Slamming or forcing closures may cause damage not covered by warranty. Aftermarket accessories that add weight may affect operation.

Hands-Free Frunk (If Equipped)

Depending on market region and configuration, hands-free frunk requires a compatible phone with Tesla mobile app. Enable via Controls > Locks > Hands-Free Frunk. Approach the frunk with your phone key in your pocket to trigger automatic opening. Step away to cancel.

CAUTION: Do not leave your phone inside the powered frunk, and ensure the area is free of obstacles before using automated opening.

Adjusting the Opening Height

Pause the frunk while moving using the touchscreen or manually adjust to preferred height. Save the height via touchscreen or by holding the button on the frunk underside. Reset to factory settings through Controls > Service > Remove Saved Locations.

Closing the Powered Frunk

Before driving, ensure the hood is securely latched. Close via:

  • Center button under the hood closure.
  • Emergency release button in the powered frunk.
  • Frunk button in the mobile app.
  • Associated Close icon on the touchscreen.

WARNING: Keep hands and objects away. Do not manually force closure.

If left open while shifting out of Park, a confirmation appears on the touchscreen and vehicle speed may be limited.

The frunk locks when Cybertruck is locked via touchscreen, key, mobile app, Walk-Away Door Lock, or Valet Mode. Never leave your authenticated smartphone in the frunk.

Load Limits

CAUTION: Do not exceed 440 lbs (200 kg) in the powered frunk. Consider GVWR and GAWR ratings when loading cargo.

Interior Emergency Release

An illuminated release button inside the powered frunk allows a person locked inside to exit. Press to unlatch and push up the hood. If already open, pressing closes it. The button glows after brief exposure to ambient light.

WARNING: Never climb inside the powered frunk. Ensure objects inside do not activate the release button accidentally.
