Personalization
Users
Applies to: vehicles with personalized user settings
Depending on vehicle equipment and your country, your vehicle may be able to manage various users in the MMI. Each user is assigned the settings that they last used.
Before you begin driving, you can select a user in the MMI and load personalized Infotainment and vehicle settings.
Possible Users in the MMI
- myAudi user: Allows use of Audi connect services that require a myAudi account. Certain settings are transferred online to your myAudi account and can be loaded in another vehicle.
- Local user: Settings are stored only in the current vehicle. Audi connect services requiring a myAudi account are not available.
- Guest user: Stores settings temporarily without affecting other users. Settings may be overwritten by other users.
Automatic User Detection
Depending on vehicle equipment, the active user can be detected automatically so settings can be loaded before driving.
- Vehicle key: The driver’s door must be opened. Confirm the detected user in the MMI or select/add another user.
Warning
Infotainment and vehicle settings may not load completely. The driver is always responsible for ensuring correct settings to reduce accident risk.
