Audi connect
General Information
Applies to: vehicles with Audi connect
Depending on country and vehicle equipment, the following functions may be available:
- Audi connect Infotainment
- Audi connect vehicle control
Warning
- To reduce the risk of an accident, only use Audi connect services and the Wi-Fi hotspot if the traffic situation permits. See Traffic Safety Information (page 19).
- It is safe to use tablets, laptops, mobile devices, and similar devices only when the vehicle is stationary. Store these devices securely while driving to avoid injuries in case of a crash. See warnings on page 77.
Note
- Connection costs for Audi connect Infotainment services are included during the subscription period with some exceptions. Additional charges may apply for online radio/podcasts, additional online data, or Wi-Fi hotspot Internet connections. Data plans may need to be purchased for these services (see page 179 and my.audi.com).
- In certain situations, the Wi-Fi hotspot may replace the SIM card on your Wi-Fi device. Fees may apply depending on your cell service provider, especially abroad. A flat rate plan is recommended.
- You are responsible for data protection, anti-virus protection, and protecting against data loss on mobile devices accessing the Internet via the Wi-Fi hotspot.
- Some functions may not be available in areas with poor GPS reception or outside cell coverage.
Tips
- Availability of services depends on subscription.
- Audi provides access to third-party services via MMI and is not responsible for content or availability.
- Most up-to-date mobile network standards may not be available in every country. Check with authorized Audi dealer or service facility.
- Availability, providers, screen display, and costs of services vary by country, model, year, and device.
- Services/apps can be modified, activated/deactivated, renamed, and enhanced without notice.
- Depending on country/model, an app other than “myAudi App” may be available. See my.audi.com for details.
Audi connect Infotainment
Applies to: vehicles with Audi connect Infotainment
Online information is transmitted directly to the vehicle. An Internet connection via embedded SIM card (eSIM) is required.

Embedded SIM Card
Applies to: vehicles with Audi connect Infotainment and embedded SIM card
Data connection for Audi connect Infotainment services is provided via the embedded SIM card (eSIM) installed in the vehicle. Services can be used immediately.

Using a Wi-Fi Hotspot
Applies to: vehicles with Wi-Fi hotspot
You can connect up to eight Wi-Fi devices (e.g., smartphones) to the MMI Wi-Fi hotspot. If MMI is connected to the Internet, connected devices can use the MMI’s Internet connection.
Requirement: Ignition must be on. A data plan must be available (see page 179).
MMI: Home screen → SETTINGS → Connection settings → Wi-Fi → Switch on the Wi-Fi hotspot.
