Fuses

General Information

Fuses are installed in various locations in your vehicle. The following information lists only fuses that you can change yourself. For other fuses, contact an authorized Audi dealer or authorized Audi Service Facility. The table does not include fuse locations that are not used. A blown fuse will have metal strips that are burned through.

Fuse Locations

  • Driver’s side footwell (left-hand drive vehicles): footrest @
  • Front passenger’s side footwell (right-hand drive vehicles): cover @
  • Driver's side cockpit (left-hand drive/right-hand drive vehicles): cover ©
  • Left side of luggage compartment: cover ©

Replacing a Fuse

  1. Switch the ignition and all electrical equipment off.
  2. Check the table to see which fuse belongs to the affected equipment.
  3. Remove the screwdriver and the reversible Torx bit from the vehicle tool kit.
  4. Remove the footrest or corresponding cover.
  5. Remove the colored plastic clip from the fuse panel if necessary.
  6. Remove the clip from the rear side of the cover.
  7. Remove the fuse using the clip.
  8. Replace the blown fuse only with a fuse that has the same amp rating.
  9. Reinstall the plastic bracket, if present.
  10. Reattach the footrest or cover.
