Subaru FORESTER 5th Generation 2019-2024 Type B Combination Meter and Warning/Indicator Lights

Type B Combination Meter and Warning/Indicator Lights

Type B Combination Meter

Perform the procedures described in “Gauge Initial Movement” F3-43.

Speedometer

Displays the vehicle speed.

Odometer

Odometer (Type A & B)

  1. Trip knob: Displays odometer when ignition is ON. Shows total distance driven.

If pressed in LOCK/OFF or ACC position, odometer/trip meter lights up. If not pressed within 10 seconds, it turns off. Opening/closing driver’s door within 10 seconds also turns it off.

Double Trip Meter

Double Trip Meter (Type A & B)

  1. Trip knob: Displays two trip meters when ignition is ON. Shows distance since last reset.

Pressing the trip knob in LOCK/OFF or ACC lights up odometer/trip meter. Switch between A and B trip meters while lit. If no press within 10 seconds or door opened/closed, meter turns off.

Press and hold trip knob >2s to reset selected trip meter to zero.

CAUTION: Do not change indicator functions while driving.

NOTE: Data may be lost if battery disconnected.

Tachometer

Displays engine speed (x1000 RPM).

CAUTION: Do not operate engine in red zone; fuel injection cuts to protect engine. Engine speed control may limit RPM in P/N (CVT) or neutral (MT) positions.

Fuel Gauge

Displays approximate fuel remaining. Gauge may fluctuate during braking, turning, or acceleration. Press trip knob in LOCK/OFF or ACC to illuminate gauge.

NOTE: “⛽” indicates fuel filler door is on the right side.

ECO Gauge (If Equipped)

Shows current vs. average fuel efficiency. Needle to the right indicates better efficiency.

NOTE: Approximate indication only. Average rate not shown until 1 km driven after trip reset.
