  • DOOR: Map lights illuminate automatically when:
    • Any door except the rear gate is opened.
    • Doors are unlocked using Keyless Access (if equipped).
    • Doors are unlocked using the remote keyless entry system.
    • Ignition is turned from ACC to LOCK/OFF.

OFF Delay Timer

The following lights have automatic illumination:

  • Dome light
  • Map light
  • Cargo area light

These lights remain on for several seconds and gradually turn off under the following conditions:

  • Dome light: after all doors and rear gate are closed
  • Map light: after all doors are closed
  • Cargo area light: after rear gate is closed

The lights turn off immediately if:

  • Ignition is turned from LOCK/OFF to ACC or ON
  • All doors and rear gate are locked via Keyless Access or remote keyless entry

Light delay settings can be changed by a SUBARU dealer or via the multi function display. (See “Interior light off delay timer setting” F3-84)
