Front seat - with manual operation

Controls on the seat
  • A Adjusting the seat in the longitudinal direction – after releasing the operating lever, the lock must audibly click into place.

  • D Adjusting the extent of the curvature of the lumbar support.

Folding passenger seat backrest

Folding down

Memory function of the seat

Functionality

Valid for vehicles with electrically adjustable driver's seat. Each memory button on the driver's seat can store and recall the driver’s seat and exterior mirror position.

Depending on the equipment, the front passenger seat may also have a memory function.

Operation

Retrieve stored position

  • With the ignition off and the driver's door open, press the desired memory button.
  • In other situations (e.g. ignition on or driver's door closed), press and hold the memory button.
  • The passenger seat position can be retrieved in the same way.

Stop position change

  • With ignition off and driver’s door open, press any seat adjustment button.
  • Or press the button on the key.
  • In other cases, release the memory button.
Settings

Storing driver's seat and exterior mirror position for driving forwards

  1. Turn on the ignition.
  2. Adjust the seat and exterior mirrors.
  3. Press button A and within 10 seconds press one of the memory buttons B.

Storing is confirmed by an acoustic signal.

The seat position can only be stored if the seat back inclination relative to the seat surface is less than approximately 110° and the seat is not at any end position.

Save front passenger seat position

Storing the passenger seat position works the same way as storing the driver's seat position.

Storing front passenger exterior mirror position for reversing

  1. Turn on the ignition.
  2. Activate the mirror folding function in the Infotainment system menu.
  3. Or turn the exterior mirror knob to the appropriate position.
  4. Engage reverse gear.
  5. Adjust the mirror to the desired position.
  6. Disengage reverse gear.

The mirror position is saved.

If the stored seat and mirror position for forward driving is changed, the passenger mirror position for reversing must be restored.

Second row of seats

Setting the second row of seats

Move seats in a longitudinal direction

  • Pull lever A and move the seat.
  • The seat must audibly click into place.

Adjusting the inclination of the seat backrests

  • Pull loop A and adjust the backrest inclination.
  • The backrest must click into place.
Access to the third row of seats

Applicable to the seven-seater variant.

  1. Pull the release handle.
  2. Fold the seat back forwards and move the seat forwards.
  3. Attach the seat belt to the strap to make access easier.
Set the seat in the starting position
  • Adjust the seat forwards or backwards.
  • Fold the seat backrest up again.
  • Check by pulling the seat and backrest.
Folding down the seat backs
NOTICE
  • Adjust second-row headrests to the lowest position.
  • Move front seats so they are not damaged by folded seat backrests.

Folding from the passenger compartment

  • Pull loop A.
  • Fold the backrest forward until it clicks into place.

Folding from the luggage compartment

  • Pull the lever to unlock the backrest.
  • Fold the backrest forward until it clicks into place.

Fold back the backrests

  • Pull the loop.
  • Press the backrest backwards until it audibly clicks.

Fold the middle backrest forwards

  • Press the safety button and fold the backrest forward.

Fold the middle backrest backwards

  • Press the backrest backward until it clicks into place.
Park position of rear seat belts

Third row of seats

Folding the third row of seats upwards and forwards

Before folding down

  • Move the second row of seats forwards.
  • Remove the luggage compartment roll-up cover.

Folding down

  • Press the release handle.
  • Fold the seat backs forward.

Folding back up

  • On vehicles with a variable loading floor, place components A on the floor.
  • Pull the loop until the backrest mechanism clicks into place.

Before folding up

  • Release the seat belt latches.
NOTICE
  • Ensure straps are fully retracted to avoid damage to belt buckles and seats.
  • Fold the seat backs forward.

Folding up

  • Pull both loops at the same time.

Folding down

  • Press down on the seats.
