Navigation Settings and Infotainment Overview

Automatic Map Scale

The automatic scale is only active while the map is centered on the vehicle position.

• Turn on navigation: tap icon (highlighted in green)
• Turn off navigation: tap icon (highlighted in white)
• Turning off also occurs when the map is moved or scale is manually changed

Map View & Orientation

• Map view in reduced scale: tap icon to display temporarily
• Change orientation: tap A icon
• North-oriented map: symbol rotates vehicle position; Polarstern symbol does not rotate
• Map oriented to travel direction: map and Polarstern symbol rotate; vehicle symbol does not rotate
• Map scale > 10 km automatically orients to north

Map Centering

The map can be centered to vehicle, destination, or route position.

• Tap map centering icon to align

Search for a New Destination

• Tap search icon
• A: Input line
• B: Symbols for search mode (local database or online destinations)
• C: Select destination entry
• D: Context-dependent display (last, visited destinations)

Entering a Destination

• Via Address: Tap icon → select address → enter info → start route guidance
• Via Map Point: Tap icon → select map point → move cross-hair or enter GPS coordinates → confirm → start route guidance

Stored Destinations

• Tap Destinations → select category: stored, flag, saved, favourites, phone contacts, online Å KODA Connect destinations
• Select stored destination → view details → start route guidance
• Tap map/POI icon → start route guidance

Route Calculation & Options

• Routes calculated based on set options; additional intermediate destinations can be added
• Alternative routes: tap Navigation → Route options → Suggest 3 alternative routes
• Route types: economical (green), fastest (red), shortest (orange)
• Navigation recalculates if driving recommendations ignored or route changed

Route Overview & Modifications

• Tap Route details to view
• Change order of intermediate destinations by holding, moving, and releasing
• Route is recalculated automatically

Traffic Reports

• Tap icon to display traffic reports (TMC or online)
• Traffic obstruction indicators: grey = not on route, red = on route no reroute, orange = on route with alternative available
• Switch traffic flow display on/off: Navigation → Map → Settings → Traffic flow
• NOTICE: Å KODA AUTO not responsible for third-party traffic data accuracy

Touch Operations

• Move map, enter destination by tapping, zoom in/out

Restrictions

Infotainment may provide incorrect guidance if road/traffic conditions differ from navigation data.

Avoiding Traffic Obstructions

• Dynamic route recalculates when obstruction detected: Navigation → Route options → Dynamic route

Arrival & Destination Information

• Display time: Navigation → Advanced settings → Time display
• Display distance/travel time: Navigation → Advanced settings → Status display

Speed Limits & Road Signs

• Country-specific speed limits: Navigation → Advanced settings → Note: Country border crossed
• Display road signs on motorways/expressways: Navigation → Map → Show traffic sign

Fuel & Trailer Options

• Fuel warning: Navigation → Tank options → Tank warning
• Trailer route: Navigation → Route options → Include trailer

Navigation Announcements & POIs

• Navigation announcements: Navigation → Navigation announcements → select desired menu item
• Favourite POI categories: Navigation → Map → Show special destinations → Select categories

Home Address

• Navigation → Home address → define using current vehicle position or manual entry

Demo Mode

• Navigation simulation from demo start point: Navigation → Advanced settings → Demo mode → On/Off
• Define demo start point: Navigation → Advanced settings → Demo mode → Start point or hold map point

Updating Navigation Database

• Updates requested from Å KODA partner or Å KODA update portal
• Original SD Card required; non-original cards not supported
• Determine navigation database version: tap System information

Infotainment Columbus Overview

• A: Touchscreen – access all menus, favourite menus, volume control, Infotainment on/off
• External module:
  • A: CD/DVD eject button
  • B: CD/DVD slot
  • C: SD1 card slot
  • D: SIM card slot
  • E: SD2 card slot

Infotainment Menus

• MENU menu: contains all available menus → tap icon to display
• Display type can be set: Grid or List
• HOME menu: three windows for quick access; left window always shows navigation; right windows adjustable

Restrictions

Some functions are restricted while driving; Infotainment shows a message on screen.

• Restore factory settings
