Fuel System Precautions
CAUTION:
- Do not smoke or have any open flame near the vehicle while bleeding the fuel system.
- Carefully clean away any spilt fuel which could ignite and cause a fire.
Removal of Water from the Fuel Filter
If the fuel filter indication lamp illuminates during driving, water has accumulated in the fuel filter. Remove water as follows:
- Loosen the drain plug (A) of the fuel filter.
- Operate the hand pump (B) slowly 6–7 times to force water out through the drain plug.
- Tighten the drain plug (A) when water no longer comes out.
- Bleed the air in the fuel system (refer to “Bleeding the fuel system” p.8-10).
- Check that the fuel filter lamp illuminates when the ignition is ON and goes off when the engine starts. Consult a specialist if needed.
CAUTION:
- Do not smoke or have open flame while bleeding the fuel system.
- Carefully clean away any water drained out; fuel mixed with water may ignite.

WARNING: Apply chocks/blocks to correct tyre. Vehicle movement may cause jack to slip.
NOTE: Chocks not supplied; use stones or large objects if needed.
- Get jack, jack handle, and wheel nut wrench ready (see p.8-11).
Spare Wheel Information
Stored under cargo bed floor. Check air pressure regularly to ensure readiness. Maintain specified pressure to allow safe use.
CAUTION: Driving with low tyre pressure is dangerous. Inflate to correct pressure as soon as possible (see “Tyre inflation pressures” p.10-11).
Removing the Spare Wheel
- Set jack handle (Club cab) (see p.8-16).
- Insert jack handle (A) into hole (B) below rear gate.
