Pillar Antenna*

When listening to the radio, fully extend the antenna.

NOTE: Retract the pillar antenna in these cases:

  • Entering a place with low clearance.
  • Using an automatic car wash.
  • Placing a car cover over the vehicle.

Roof Antenna*

When listening to the radio, raise the antenna until it clicks.

Type 1 / Type 2

To remove: Turn the pole (A) anticlockwise.

To install: Screw the pole (A) clockwise into the base (B) until securely retained.

NOTE: Remove the roof antenna in these cases:

  • Using an automatic car wash.
  • Placing a car cover over the vehicle.
  • Driving into a structure with a low ceiling.

Link System*

The Link System controls devices connected via USB or Bluetooth® 2.0, allowing operation via vehicle switches or voice commands.

Bluetooth® 2.0 Interface*

Allows hands-free calls, music playback via Bluetooth® devices, and voice recognition operations. Usable when ignition is ON or ACC.

Pair Bluetooth® device before use. Refer to “Connecting Bluetooth® 2.0 interface and Bluetooth® device” p.7-80.

WARNING: Do not allow distraction while driving. Follow all state/local laws regarding phone use.

NOTE:

  • ACC power auto-cutout may disable audio if Keyless system left in ACC (p.6-15).
  • Bluetooth® device must have power; flat battery disables function.
  • Hands-free calls require network service; some devices may be incompatible.
  • ERA-GLONASS emergency call disables Bluetooth® 2.0 interface temporarily.

Voice Recognition Function

Supports English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Dutch, Portuguese, Russian. Factory default: English or Russian.

NOTE:

  • Voice commands must match predefined commands; up to 3 retries allowed.
  • For best recognition, close windows, lower blower, avoid conversation.
  • Some functions unavailable depending on selected language.

Selecting the Language

  1. Press SPEECH button.
  2. Say “Setup” → “Language”.
  3. Select desired language from options spoken by guide.
  4. Confirm with “Yes” or return to Step 4 with “No”.
  5. System repeats message in current and selected language.
  6. Phone book re-import required if language changes.

Useful Voice Commands

Help Function: Say “Help” during voice input to list available commands.

Cancelling: Say “Cancel” to exit interface or return to main menu. Say “Go Back” to return to previous menu.

Confirmation Function Setting

  1. Press SPEECH button → Say “Setup” → Say “Confirmation prompts”.
  2. Voice guide will ask to toggle on/off. Answer “Yes” to change, “No” to keep.
  3. System confirms setting and returns to main menu.

Security Function

Password can be set for Bluetooth® 2.0 interface as a security measure.
