Blower Speed Display - Dual-Zone Automatic Climate Control (Type 2)

Control Panel Overview

  1. Driver’s side temperature control switch (LHD vehicles) / Passenger’s side temperature control switch (RHD vehicles)

Note: Do not place anything on the interior air temperature sensor; it must remain unobstructed to function properly.

Note: In extreme cold, the control panel may operate sluggishly until the interior warms up. This is normal.

Blower Speed Selection

Press the blower speed selection switch to increase or decrease the blower speed. The selected speed is shown in the display.

Temperature Control Switch

Press or to set the desired temperature. The selected temperature is shown in the display.

  • The temperature display unit is synchronized with the outside temperature unit of the multi information display.
  • While the engine is warming up, heater output may be cooler than selected.

Automatic Adjustments

In AUTO mode:

  • Ventilator mode changes automatically to prevent windscreen/window fogging.
  • Quick Heating: Highest temperature introduces outside air, air conditioner stops.
  • Quick Cooling: Lowest temperature recirculates air and activates air conditioner.
  • Air selection and AC functions can be customized.

Synchronized and Dual Mode

  • Synchronized Mode: Adjusting driver’s side temperature also adjusts passenger’s side.
  • Dual Mode: Press passenger’s side temperature switch; driver and passenger temperatures can be set independently. Press AUTO to return to synchronized mode.

Air Selection Switch

  • Outside air: Indication lamp OFF, fresh air introduced.
  • Recirculated air: Indication lamp ON, air recirculated inside cabin.
  • CAUTION: Extended use of recirculation may fog windows. Periodically switch to outside air.
  • Automatic switching occurs at certain engine coolant temperatures.

Customizing Air Selection

Hold air selection switch for ~10 seconds to toggle between automatic air control enabled/disabled. Sound and lamp indications confirm setting.

AUTO Switch

Activates full automatic control of mode, blower speed, air selection, temperature, and AC ON/OFF.

Air Conditioning Switch

  • Press to turn AC on/off. Indicator shows status.
  • Can be customized for automatic control (enable/disable) by holding for ~10 seconds.

OFF Switch

Turns off the entire climate control system.

MODE Switch

Cycling through modes: “ ” → “ ” → “ ” → “ ” → “ ”. Selected mode appears on display.

Demister Switch

Activates demisting mode; lamp lights up. System automatically selects outside air and AC if needed to prevent window fogging.

Operating System in AUTO Mode

  1. Press AUTO switch.
  2. Set desired temperature with temperature control switch.

Manual operation of any switch overrides only that function; others remain automatic.

Operating System in Manual Mode

Blower speed and mode can be adjusted manually. Press AUTO to return to automatic operation.

Demisting Windscreen and Door Windows

Ordinary demisting:

  1. Set air selection to outside air.
  2. Set MODE switch to “ ” position.
  3. Select blower speed.
  4. Select desired temperature.
  5. Press air conditioning switch.

Quick demisting:

  1. Press demister switch to “ ” position.
  2. Set blower to maximum speed.
  3. Set temperature to highest.

Note: Direct side vents toward door windows for best effect. Avoid maximum cooling as it may hinder demisting.

Note: Vehicles with Auto Stop & Go (AS&G) system will keep the engine running during demisting to maintain visibility.
