Explanation of Buttons

Front Panel Buttons

  1. Key: Eject a disc.
  2. 1DISP Key: Switch display content; radio preset key 1.
  3. 2PAGE Key: Display next content page; radio preset key 2.
  4. 3 Key: Radio preset key 3.
  5. MEDIA Key: Switch audio source: CD → USB/iPod → AUX.
  6. RADIO Key: Switch radio and band.
  7. ⏪ / ⏩ Keys: Select audio track/file; hold to rewind/fast forward; radio station selection.
  8. SEL•PWR•VOL Key: Adjust volume, power ON/OFF, audio quality, and select items.
  9. Return Key: Return during audio track search.
  10. Disc Slot: Insert disc.
  11. AUTO-P Key: Auto preset radio stations.
  12. 4RPT Key: Repeat playback; radio preset key 4.
  13. 5RDM Key: Random playback; radio preset key 5.
  14. 6 Key: Radio preset key 6.
  15. /MENU Key: Switch to Menu mode.
  16. Auxiliary Audio Connector: Connect external audio device (mini-jack).

Steering Wheel Audio Remote Control (Type 1 & Type 2)

  1. Volume up/down switch: Adjust audio volume.
  2. Track/Station buttons: Select CD tracks or radio stations; hold to fast forward/rewind.
  3. MODE (Type 1) / SOURCE (Type 2) button: Turn audio ON/OFF and switch source (FM1, FM2, AM → DISC → iPod/USB → AUX).

Listening to Radio

Press the RADIO key to switch AM/FM band. Selected band appears on display.

Manual/Seek Station:

  • Press ⏩ to increase frequency, ⏪ to decrease frequency.
  • Hold ⏩ or ⏪ for seek station selection; scanning stops when station is received.

Preset Memory

  1. Tune to desired frequency.
  2. Hold preset keys (1DISP–6) to register. Beep confirms registration.

Note: Max 6 stations per band. Selecting an existing preset overwrites it.

Auto Preset

Hold AUTO-P key to automatically register top 6 strong signal stations.

Note: AUTO-P mode allows manual/seek station selection and scan operation.

Listening to CDs (CD-DA/CD-TEXT)

  1. Insert disc to start playback; press MEDIA to select CD source.
  2. Use ⏪ / ⏩ keys to select track; hold to rewind/fast forward.
  3. Repeat (4RPT) or Random (5RDM) playback.
  4. Folder repeat/random playback supported.

Listening to MP3/WMA/AAC Files

  1. Insert disc or USB/iPod device; press MEDIA to select CD/USB source.
  2. Use ⏪ / ⏩ keys to select track/file; hold to rewind/fast forward.
  3. Use 4RPT for repeat playback; 5RDM for shuffle/random playback.
  4. Folder-level repeat/random playback also supported.

Listening to an iPod*

  1. Connect iPod/iPhone; press MEDIA to select USB (iPod) source.
  2. Select track/file using ⏪ / ⏩ and SEL•PWR•VOL key.
  3. Repeat (4RPT) and Shuffle/Album Shuffle (5RDM) playback supported.

CAUTION: Do not operate iPod/iPhone while driving. Backup data is recommended.

Listening to USB Devices*

  1. Connect USB device; press MEDIA to select USB source.
  2. Select track/file using ⏪ / ⏩ and SEL•PWR•VOL key.
  3. Repeat (4RPT) and Random/Folder Random (5RDM) playback supported.

CAUTION: Avoid using hard drives, card readers, or unsupported devices; data loss may occur.

Using AUX*

Connect external audio device via AUX connector; press MEDIA to select AUX mode.

CAUTION: Lower device volume before connecting; noise may occur if powered improperly.

Display Indicator

Press 1DISP key to switch display content; press 2PAGE to see additional characters if needed.

  • CD-DA: Track no/Play time → Folder no/File no → Folder text → File text → Artist → Album → Song text.
  • MP3/WMA/AAC: Same as CD-DA.
  • iPod: Track No + playtime → Artist → Album → Song text (Podcast: Track No + playtime → Podcast → Episode → Release date).

Audio Quality and Volume Balance Adjustment

  1. Press /MENU key.
  2. Turn SEL•PWR•VOL to select adjustment item (BASS ↔ TREBLE ↔ FADER ↔ BALANCE).
  3. Turn SEL•PWR•VOL to adjust selected item.

Time Setting

  1. Hold /MENU key.
  2. Turn SEL•PWR•VOL to select CLOCK MODE or CLOCK ADJUST MODE; press SEL•PWR•VOL to confirm.
CLOCK MODE
  1. Select 12-hour or 24-hour clock with SEL•PWR•VOL key.
  2. Press SEL•PWR•VOL to confirm and update clock display.
CLOCK ADJUST MODE
  1. Turn SEL•PWR•VOL to adjust hour.
  2. Turn SEL•PWR•VOL to adjust minutes.
  3. Press /MENU key to complete time setting.
