System Problem Indication

Centre Display Indication Cause Action to be Taken
“No camera signal.” is displayed The control unit might be damaged. Have your vehicle inspected by an Authorised Mazda Repairer.
Screen is pitch-black and blank The camera might be damaged. Have your vehicle inspected by an Authorised Mazda Repairer.

Forward Sensing Camera (FSC)

Your vehicle is equipped with a Forward Sensing Camera (FSC) positioned near the rearview mirror.

Systems Using FSC
  • High Beam Control System (HBC)
  • Adaptive LED Headlights (ALH)
  • Traffic Sign Recognition System (TSR)
  • Distance & Speed Alert (DSA)
  • Driver Attention Alert (DAA)
  • Driver Monitoring (DM)
  • Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC)
  • Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go
  • Lane-keep Assist System (LAS)
  • Cruising & Traffic Support (CTS)
  • Smart Brake Support (SBS)
WARNING: Do not modify the suspension. Changing vehicle height or inclination may prevent correct detection and cause malfunction.
CAUTION:
  • Do not apply stickers or film near the FSC area.
  • Do not disassemble or modify the FSC.
  • Keep the windscreen clean and free from fog, ice, snow, or dirt.
  • Do not allow cleaning fluids to contact the FSC lens.
  • Consult an Authorised Mazda Repairer before repairs around the FSC.
  • Use specified tyres of the same brand and tread pattern on all wheels.
Temporary System Stop Conditions
  • Heavy rain, fog, snow, or backlight
  • High temperature around camera
  • Dirty or fogged windscreen

If temporarily stopped, warning indications may appear for HBC, ALH, and i-ACTIVSENSE. This does not indicate a malfunction.

Front Radar Sensor

Your vehicle is equipped with a Front Radar Sensor mounted behind the front emblem.

Systems Using Front Radar Sensor
  • Distance & Speed Alert (DSA)
  • Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC)
  • Mazda Radar Cruise Control with Stop & Go
  • Cruising & Traffic Support (CTS)
  • Smart Brake Support (SBS)

If the message “Safety and Driver Support Systems Temporarily Disabled. Front Radar Obscured. Drive Safely” appears, clean the area around the radar sensor.

CAUTION:
  • Do not attach stickers near the radar sensor or front emblem.
  • Do not install grille guards.
  • Do not disassemble or modify the radar sensor.
  • Have the vehicle inspected after front-end damage.
  • Use tyres of the same size, brand, and tread pattern on all wheels.
Detection Limitations
  • Curved roads or slopes
  • Bad weather (rain, snow, sand storms)
  • Vehicles with low reflective surfaces
  • Ice, snow, or dirt on front emblem
  • Very short distance to vehicle ahead
