Doors and Locks

  • Never leave children or pets unattended in a parked vehicle.
  • Do not leave keys inside the vehicle where children can access them.
  • Keep all doors locked while driving to prevent accidental opening.
  • Always close windows, sunroof, and lock doors when leaving the vehicle.
  • Verify all doors and the liftgate/boot lid are securely closed before driving.
  • Check surroundings before opening doors or the liftgate.
CAUTION

Be aware of surroundings when opening or closing doors and liftgate, especially in strong winds or on inclines.

NOTE
  • Stop the engine and lock doors to prevent theft.
  • Lock-out prevention unlocks doors if the key is left inside.
  • Collision detection automatically unlocks doors after a severe impact.

Unlocking with Auxiliary Key

Only the driver’s door can be unlocked using the auxiliary key. Insert and turn the key while pulling the handle.

Touch Sensor Door Handle (Advanced Keyless)

Touch sensors allow locking/unlocking without removing the key from a pocket.

  • Outer handle depression — lock sensor
  • Inner handle area — unlock sensor

Hazard lights and confirmation beep indicate operation.

Walk-Away Auto Lock

Doors automatically lock when the transmitter leaves operational range after closing all doors.

Locking / Unlocking with Transmitter

  • All doors
  • Fuel-filler flap
  • Liftgate / boot lid

Door-Lock Switch

Pressing the switch locks/unlocks all doors, fuel-filler flap, and liftgate/boot lid.

Auto Lock / Unlock Function

  • Doors lock automatically above 20 km/h.
  • Doors unlock when ignition is switched off.

Door-Lock Knob

Press to lock and pull outward to unlock a door individually.

Rear Door Child Safety Locks

Prevents rear doors from being opened from inside. Use for child safety.


Liftgate / Boot Lid

  • Do not allow passengers to ride in the luggage compartment.
  • Do not drive with liftgate/boot lid open due to exhaust gas risk.
  • Secure luggage to prevent movement and injury.
CAUTION
  • Remove snow or ice before opening.
  • Use caution in strong winds.
  • Fully open liftgate to prevent sudden closure.
  • Avoid excessive force on damper stay.

Opening the Liftgate (Hatchback)

Unlock the vehicle, press the electric opener, and raise the liftgate.

Opening the Boot Lid (Saloon)

Unlock and press the electric boot opener, then lift the boot lid.

Closing

Lower slowly using the grip recess and push closed with both hands. Verify secure closure.


Luggage Compartment

  • Do not place heavy objects on the luggage cover.
  • Secure cargo to prevent injury during braking or collision.

Ensure the luggage compartment cover is firmly secured to avoid disengagement.

The luggage compartment can be accessed by opening the liftgate.
