Radio

Presetting a Station

Press SRC/TEL repeatedly to select the FM1, FM2 or AM waveband. Press and hold one of the buttons to preset the station being listened to. The name of the station is displayed and an audible signal confirms the preset.

Selecting a Station

Press a button to listen to the corresponding preset station.

Entering a Frequency
  • Select "Radio".
  • Select "Write freq.".
  • Press + or - to select the desired frequency.
  • Briefly press one of the buttons to change to the next or previous letter.
  • Confirm with OK.
Managing a List
  • Press and hold LIST to build or update the list of stations.
  • Audio reception is cut momentarily.
  • Press LIST to display the list of stations received in alphabetical order.
  • Select the desired radio station using the buttons.
  • Confirm with OK.
The exterior environment (hills, buildings, tunnels, car parks, underground areas, etc.) may prevent reception, even in RDS station tracking mode. This is normal radio wave propagation behaviour and does not indicate a fault with the audio system.

RDS

RDS allows you to continue listening to the same station by automatic retuning to alternative frequencies. However, coverage may not be assured throughout the country, which may cause temporary loss of reception during a journey.

Receiving TA Messages

The TA (Traffic Announcement) function gives priority to traffic alert messages. When a traffic report is transmitted, the current audio source (Radio, CD, USB, etc.) is interrupted automatically to broadcast the traffic message. Normal playback resumes after the message.

Displaying Radio Text

Radio text is information transmitted by the station related to the current programme or song.

  • Press MENU.
  • Select Radio.
  • Select or deselect RDS, TXT, or TA.
  • Confirm with OK to save the setting.

  • Adjust the volume first on the portable device, then on the audio system.
