For BlueHDi Diesel versions, this alert is also accompanied by the fixed illumination of the Service warning lamp when the ignition is switched on.

The distance remaining may be weighted by the time factor, depending on the driving conditions. Therefore, the spanner symbol may also come on if you have exceeded the period since the last service indicated in the manufacturer’s service schedule.

For BlueHDi Diesel versions, the spanner can also come on early according to the degree of deterioration of the engine oil. The deterioration of the engine oil depends on the conditions in which the vehicle is used.

Touch screen

The touch screen gives access to:

• Menus for adjusting settings for vehicle functions and systems.
• Audio and display configuration menus.
• Audio system and telephone controls and the display of associated information.

Depending on the equipment, the touch screen also allows:

• Display of alert messages and visual parking sensors information.
• Access to navigation system controls and Connected Services.
• Display of associated information.

Recommendations

• Press firmly on the screen, particularly for “flick” gestures such as scrolling through lists or moving the map.
• A light wipe is not sufficient for the screen to respond.
• The screen does not recognise pressing with more than one finger.
• The technology allows use at all temperatures and when wearing gloves.
• Do not use pointed objects on the touch screen.
• Do not touch the screen with wet hands.
• Use a soft clean cloth to clean the touch screen.

State of indicator lamps

Some buttons contain an indicator lamp that shows the state of the corresponding function.

• Green indicator: The corresponding function is switched on.
• Orange indicator: The corresponding function is switched off.

Trip computer

Instrument panel screen

Each press on the end of the wiper control stalk displays the information in turn:

• Current information
  • Range
  • Current fuel consumption
  • Stop & Start time counter
• Trip "1"
  • Average speed
  • Average fuel consumption
  • Distance travelled (first trip)
• Trip "2"
  • Average speed
  • Average fuel consumption
  • Distance travelled (second trip)

Trip reset

• When the required trip is displayed, press the control for more than 2 seconds or use the left-hand thumb wheel on the steering mounted controls.

Trips "1" and "2" are independent but their use is identical. For example, trip "1" can be used for daily figures and trip "2" for monthly figures.

Using the touch screen

• Press the MENU button to display the main menu.
• Select the "Driving" menu.
• Select the desired tab using your finger.

Current information

Range (miles or km)

The distance that can be travelled using the remaining fuel in the tank, based on the average fuel consumption over the last few miles.

Once the remaining range is below 20 miles (30 km), dashes are displayed. After topping up with at least 5 litres of fuel, the range is recalculated and displayed if it exceeds 60 miles (100 km).

Current fuel consumption

Displayed as l/100 km, km/l or mpg, calculated over the last few seconds.

Stop & Start time counter

If the vehicle has Stop & Start, a time counter records the periods in STOP mode during a journey.

This function is displayed only above 20 mph (30 km/h). It resets to zero every time the ignition is switched on.

Trip reset

• When the desired trip is displayed, press the reset button.

Trips "1" and "2" remain independent but function in the same way. For example, trip "1" may be used for daily figures and trip "2" for monthly figures.
