Peugeot 208 2016-2022 DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) Radio

DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting) Radio

If the "DAB" radio station being listened to is not available on "FM", the "DAB FM" option is greyed out.

Journaline® is a text-based information service for digital radio systems, providing structured information around topics and sub-topics. Available from the "LIST OF DAB STATIONS" page.

Selecting a DAB Station

  1. Select change of source.
  2. Press on Radio Media to display the primary page.
  3. Select DAB Radio.
  4. Select "List" on the primary page.
  5. Select the radio station from the list offered.
  6. Press on Radio Media to return to the primary page, then press the secondary page.
  7. Select Settings → Radio → Digital/FM auto tracking, then "Confirm".

Digital radio DAB/FM auto tracking allows you to continue listening via FM if the digital signal is weak. A few seconds delay and slight volume variation may occur during switching. The system returns to DAB when the signal is restored.

Select "List" in the primary page to display multiplexes in alphabetical order. If the "DAB/FM" option is greyed out or DAB/FM tracking is off, sound may cut out when the digital signal is weak.

USB Port

The steering mounted SRC (source) button can be used to cycle to the next media source.

  1. Select change of source.
  2. Press on Radio Media to display the primary page.
  3. Insert the USB memory stick or connect a USB device using a suitable cable (not supplied).
  4. The system builds playlists in temporary memory, which may take a few seconds to minutes on first connection.
  5. Reduce non-music files and folders to reduce waiting time.
  6. Playlists update when ignition is switched off or a USB device is connected.

Auxiliary Socket (AUX)

Connect the portable device (e.g., MP3 player) to the auxiliary jack using an audio cable (not supplied). Adjust the volume on the portable device first, then on the audio system. Control is via the portable device.

This source is available only if the "Auxiliary socket" option is activated in "Media" settings. Do not use a USB hub to protect the system.

CD Player

Insert the CD or MP3 compilation CD into the player; playback starts automatically. Use the audio system buttons to navigate tracks or folders. Confirm selections with "OK".

The audio system only plays files with extensions .wma, .aac, .flac, .ogg, .mp3 and a bit rate between 32–320 Kbps, supporting VBR. File names should be ≤20 characters and avoid special characters to prevent playback/display issues.

For recorded CDR or CDRW discs, use ISO 9660 level 1, 2, or Joliet standard, at low speed (max 4x). Multi-session CDs should use Joliet standard.

Bluetooth® Audio Streaming

Streaming allows audio files from your phone to play through vehicle speakers. Connect via the "Telephone → Bluetooth" section and choose the "Audio" or "All" profile.

Playback control is via the peripheral device or audio system buttons. Once connected, the phone is considered a media source. Enable "Repeat" on the Bluetooth device for continuous playback.

Apple® Players

Connect an Apple® player via USB; playback starts automatically. Control is via the audio system. Classification (Artists / Albums / Genres / Playlists / Audiobooks / Podcasts) follows the connected device. Default is by Artist. To modify, navigate the menu and confirm selections.

Software versions in the audio system may not be compatible with some Apple® player generations.
