Jump-Starting Your Vehicle

  1. Pull the red rubber boot backward and connect the positive (+) jumper cable to the positive (+) terminal of the discharged battery.
  2. Connect the other end of the positive (+) jumper cable to the positive (+) terminal of the booster vehicle battery.
  3. Connect the negative (-) jumper cable to the negative (-) terminal of the booster vehicle battery.
  4. Connect the final negative (-) jumper cable to an exposed metal part of the disabled vehicle's engine away from the battery and fuel injection system, or to a designated ground point.

Starting the Engine

  1. Start the engine of the booster vehicle and moderately rev it to 2000–3000 RPM.
  2. Start the engine of the disabled vehicle.
  3. Run both engines for an additional three minutes before disconnecting the jumper cables.

Removing the Jumper Cables: Remove the cables in reverse order. Do not switch on headlamps while disconnecting to avoid blowing the bulbs.

Post-Crash Alert System

The system helps draw attention to your vehicle after a serious impact by activating hazard flashers, courtesy lamps, horn, and unlocking doors.

Limitations: Depending on local laws, the horn may not sound.

Switching Off: Press the hazard flasher, unlock button, panic button, or cycle ignition. The alert also turns off if the battery runs out.

Post-Collision Braking

Reduces vehicle speed after a moderate to severe crash to prevent secondary impacts.

  • Does not activate if ABS is damaged or ESC is disabled.
  • Can be overridden by pressing brake or accelerator.
  • Indicator flashes when active.

Automatic Crash Shutoff

Stops fuel flow to the engine in the event of a moderate or severe crash.

Precautions: Have the fuel system checked after a crash to prevent fire or injury.

Re-enabling:

  1. Switch ignition off, attempt to start vehicle.
  2. Repeat step 1 and 2 if necessary.
