Blind spot assist may have difficulty detecting hazards under the following conditions:
Diagram 1: Vehicle A uses its left turn signal preparing to change from the right lane to the middle lane. Vehicle B is already in the middle lane and enters Vehicle A's blind spot, causing the exterior mirror alert to flash.
Diagram 2: Vehicle A begins steering into the center lane unaware of Vehicle B.
Diagram 3: Blind spot assist counter-steers to help Vehicle A return to the right lane to avoid a possible collision.
The lane keeping aid warning lamp or yellow lane marking in the instrument cluster indicates blind spot assist activation. The blind spot alert indicator flashes on the exterior mirror on the detection side.
