Mirror Display
The point of the compass is displayed in the mirror when driving straight.
Operating Concept
Various functions are accessed by pressing the control button with a pointed object (e.g., ballpoint pen). Depending on how long the button is pressed:
- Brief press: turns display on/off
- 3–6 seconds: compass zone setting
- 6–9 seconds: compass calibration
- 9–12 seconds: left/right-hand steering setting
- 12–15 seconds: language setting
Setting the Compass Zones
Ensures the compass operates correctly according to your location.
- Press and hold control button 3–4 seconds; current zone appears.
- Press button repeatedly to select zone corresponding to your location.
- Zone is stored automatically; compass ready after ~10 seconds.
Calibrating the Digital Compass
Required if:
- Wrong compass point is displayed
- Compass does not change direction
- Not all compass points are displayed
- Ensure no large metal objects or overhead power lines nearby.
- Set the current compass zone.
- Press and hold control button 6–7 seconds until "C" appears, then drive a complete circle at ≤7 km/h. "C" is replaced by compass points if successful.
Left/Right-Hand Steering
Factory-set for your vehicle configuration.
Setting the Language
Press and hold the control button 12–13 seconds. Briefly press again to toggle English ("E") or German ("O"). Settings stored automatically after ~10 seconds.
Sun Visor and Vanity Mirror
- Sun visor: fold down or pivot to side for glare protection
- Vanity mirror: located behind sun visor cover; opens to switch on lighting
Ashtray / Cigarette Lighter
Located in frontal cup holders; lighter above in center console.
- Ashtray: Remove to empty
- Cigarette Lighter: Push in to heat; pops out when ready
Warning: Contact with hot element can cause burns. Children must not use the lighter. Flammable materials may ignite.
Note: Metal objects in socket can cause short circuit. Replace cover after use.
Sockets
Can be used for electrical equipment while ignition or engine is on. Maximum total load: 140 watts at 12 volts.
Warning: Keep devices and cables away from airbag area. Risk of injury if obstructed.
Note: Only use battery chargers via starting aid terminals. USB device may be charged via interface but avoid using onboard socket simultaneously.
USB Interface / AUX-IN Port
Mobile devices can be connected via USB or AUX-IN. Supported devices include:
- USB-supported mobile phones
- Audio devices with USB port (MP3)
- USB storage devices (FAT32, exFAT recommended)
Applications:
- Driver profile export/import
- Music playback and storage
- Video playback via USB
- Software updates
Follow guidelines for connection and avoid extreme temperatures or unsupported media.
Storage Compartments
Available interior storage:
- Glove compartment (front passenger side)
- Door compartments
- Center armrest
- Storage in front of cup holders
- Clothes hooks
- Center console tray
- Pockets on front seat backrests
Warning: Loose objects can fly during accidents or braking. Secure all items.
Glove Compartment
- Opening: Pull handle; light turns on
- Closing: Fold cover up
Center Armrest
- Contains storage compartment
- Adjust height with button
Cup Holders
Warning: Hot beverages or unsuitable containers can cause injury or damage. Use lightweight, unbreakable, sealable containers only.
Clothes Hooks
- 3-door: above side windows rear
- 5-door: above rear doors
Warning: Only hang lightweight clothing; avoid obstructing driver’s view.
Cargo Area
Warning: Exceeding load capacity may damage tires, affect handling, and cause injury. Secure all cargo and loose objects properly.
- Maximum load = occupants + cargo weight
- Stow heavy cargo forward and low
- Use cargo straps, lashing eyes, or draw straps for securing
- Cover sharp edges
Lashing Eyes
Without storage package: 2 lashing eyes in cargo area. With package: 6 lashing eyes.
Cargo Cover
- Removable for bulky objects
- Raise/lower using side brackets and retaining straps
Storage Under Cargo Floor Panel
Contains onboard vehicle tool kit; fold floor panel to access.
Enlarging Cargo Area
- Rear seat backrests can be folded down (60:40 ratio)
- Backrests can be moved to upright loading position using cargo setting
- Follow all safety precautions to avoid injury
Folding Rear Seat Backrest
- Hook safety belt into side buckle
- Pull lever and fold backrest forward
Cargo Position
- Release backrest and tilt forward
- Fold frame until it engages
- Fold backrest and lock
Variable Cargo Area Floor
Configurable for transport requirements. Can be removed or folded up/down to adjust cargo height.
Warning: Only use folded-up position when backrests are folded and locked. Always secure cargo against shifting.
