Warning: Selecting "Speed Offset" allows you to set the speed increment for the ISC system up to 6 mph (10 km/h) above the speed limit detected, or a decrement down to 6 mph (10 km/h) below. The road sign information shown on the instrument panel will remain as detected by the TSR system.
The system status is always shown by a dedicated white or green icon / / on the instrument panel display, similar to the Active Cruise Control device, to the left of the road sign indications provided by the TSR system.
The system can be activated if the driver has previously activated:
The instrument panel can show an icon indicating the suggested speed provided by the TSR system (Fig. 200–201). The driver can accept or reject it using the RES/SET lever:
If the driver accepts the ISC suggestion or the ACC speed matches the TSR-detected speed, the speed limit sign on the display is highlighted with a green circle.
Versions with 4 sensors: Located in the rear bumper (Fig. 203), they detect obstacles and warn the driver via acoustic and visual signals.
Press the button (Fig. 204) to toggle the system. LED indicates on/off status. If pressed during system failure, LED flashes for ~5 seconds then stays on.
System automatically activates when reverse gear engaged, and deactivates with other gears.
Only nearest obstacle is considered. No signal in P or N gear.
Displayed on Connect system menu: Settings → Driver Assistance → Parking Sensors → Mode → Sound and Display. Arcs indicate obstacle distance and position. Central area: constant then flashing arc + acoustic signal. Left/right area: flashing arc + acoustic signal. Multiple obstacles: all shown. Arc color depends on distance. Rotary Pad exits display, but sound remains active.
Faults indicated on instrument panel. Messages displayed for ~5 seconds. Clean sensors if prompted (remove dirt, snow, mud, ice). Repeat ignition check after cleaning. Contact Alfa Romeo Dealership if messages persist.
Sensors deactivate automatically when trailer plug inserted; reactivated when removed. Front sensors remain active.
Front (Fig. 205) and rear (Fig. 206) sensors detect obstacles, provide acoustic and visual warnings.
Press button (Fig. 207) to toggle. LED indicates status: off → sensors on; on → sensors off.
