Replacing an External Bulb

Front Light Cluster with Main Beam/Dipped Beam Halogen Headlights

Dipped Beam Headlights

1. Remove the top cover from the wheel arch by unscrewing the fixing screws (Fig. 234).
2. Remove the cover (Fig. 235).
3. Remove the bulb/connector assembly from the headlight body (Fig. 236).
4. Remove the bulb by sliding it off the connector.
5. Install the new bulb, making sure it is correctly inserted in the connector.
6. Insert the bulb/connector assembly in the housing on the headlight body and lock it correctly.
7. Remount the lid and cover, tightening the fixing screws.

Main Beam Headlights

1. Access from inside the engine compartment (Fig. 237).
2. Remove the cover (Fig. 238).
3. Turn the bulb, bulb holder, and connector assembly anticlockwise and slide it off the headlight body.
4. Install the new bulb correctly in the bulb holder.
5. Insert the assembly in the headlight housing and turn clockwise to lock.
6. Refit the protective cover.

Direction Indicators

1. Access from inside the engine compartment (Fig. 240).
2. Remove the cover by turning it (Fig. 241).
3. Release the bulb, bulb holder, and connector assembly and slide it off (Fig. 242).
4. Remove the bulb from the holder.
5. Install the new bulb in the holder.
6. Insert the assembly into the headlight housing, turn clockwise to lock.
7. Refit the protective cover.

Fog Lights

1. Remove the lower cover from the wheel arch by unscrewing the fixing screws.
2. Pull out the bulb-bulb holder assembly and turn anticlockwise (Fig. 244).
3. Remove the bulb by sliding it off the holder.
4. Install the new bulb correctly in the holder.
5. Insert the assembly into the headlight housing and turn clockwise to lock.
6. Refit the cover and tighten the screws.

Front Light Cluster with Main Beam/Dipped Beam Xenon Gas Discharge Headlights

To replace the bulbs of these headlights, contact an Alfa Romeo Dealership.

Replacing an Internal Bulb

Mirror Courtesy Light

1. Lift the cover of the mirror and extract the lens (Fig. 245).
2. Change the bulb, releasing it from the side contacts, then insert the new bulb.
3. Refit the lens: insert one side first, press the other until it clicks.
4. Lower the cover of the mirror.

Glove Compartment Light

1. Open the glove compartment.
2. Extract the light by working at the indicated point (Fig. 246).
3. Open the protection and replace the bulb (Fig. 247).
4. Close the cover on the lens, refit the light, and close the glove compartment ensuring it locks.

Luggage Compartment Courtesy Lights

1. Open the luggage compartment and extract the courtesy light (Fig. 248).
2. Open the protection and replace the bulb (Fig. 249).
3. Close the cover on the lens and refit the light, ensuring it clicks into place.

Puddle Lights on Door Panel

1. Open the door and extract the courtesy light (Fig. 250).
2. Open the protection and replace the bulb (Fig. 251).
3. Close the cover on the lens and refit the light, ensuring it clicks into place.
