Installing an ISOFIX Child Restraint System
The rear side seats of the car are equipped with ISOFIX attachments for fitting child restraint systems quickly, simply, and safely.
The ISOFIX system lets you install the child restraint system without using seat belts, by connecting directly to the car seat via three anchors. Traditional seatbelt and ISOFIX systems can coexist in different positions in the same car.
To install an ISOFIX system:
- Attach it to the two metal anchorings (1) Fig. 140, accessible by lifting the flaps (2) where the rear seat cushion meets the backrest.
- Fix the upper strap to the dedicated anchoring (3) Fig. 141 behind the backrest.
Fig. 142 shows an example of a Universal ISOFIX system for weight group 1.
Warning: Fig. 142 is indicative and for assembly purposes only. Fit the system according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Note: Only ECE R44 “ISOFIX Universal” (R44/03 or later) type-approved systems can be used. Other weight groups require specific ISOFIX systems tested for this car.
Warnings
- Do not use the same lower anchoring for more than one child restraint system.
- If not fixed to all three anchorages, the ISOFIX system cannot protect the child correctly.
- Install the system while the car is stationary. A click indicates proper attachment.
- After an accident, replace the ISOFIX anchorages and the child restraint system.

i-Size Child Restraint Systems
The rear side seats are approved for i-Size (ECE R129) child restraint systems, which offer:
- Rearward facing transport until 15 months.
- Increased protection in side collisions.
- Promoted use of ISOFIX to avoid faulty installation.
- Height-based system choice instead of weight.
- Better compatibility with car seats (“Super ISOFIX”).
Note: If the car seats are i-Size approved, a symbol Fig. 144 appears near ISOFIX attachments.

Main Warnings for Carrying Children Safely
- Install child restraint systems on rear seats for maximum protection.
- Keep children rearward facing as long as possible (up to 3–4 years).
- Head restraints may be lifted to install the system but must be fitted if an adult or child is present.
- Verify deactivation of front passenger airbag via courtesy light when using rear-facing seats in front.
- Follow manufacturer instructions and keep them in the car. Never use second-hand child seats without instructions.
- Only one child per restraint system. Never carry two children in a single seat.
- Ensure seat belts do not rest on the child’s neck and are properly fastened.
- Children must not put the diagonal belt under an arm or behind their back.
- Never carry children on your lap. No one can hold a child during a collision.
- After an accident, replace the child restraint system with a new one.
Supplementary Restraint System (SRS) – Airbag
The car is equipped with:
- Front driver and passenger airbags
- Driver and passenger front side bags for pelvis, chest, and shoulder protection
- Side bags for head protection of front and rear side seat passengers
Locations of airbags are marked by "AIRBAG" labels on steering wheel, dashboard, side trim, or nearby deployment areas.
Front Airbags
Protect front occupants in medium-high severity head-on crashes, placing a cushion between occupant and steering wheel or dashboard.
Non-activation in other collisions (side, rear, roll-over) is normal. Front airbags complement seat belts and are not a replacement.
Front airbags may not activate in:
- Frontal impacts against highly deformable objects not involving the car’s front surface
- Vehicle wedging under other vehicles or barriers
