If the vehicle lock command is activated using the key fob or Passive Entry system,
lights that were previously on will switch off within 3 seconds once the key fob moves out of range.

After activating the power liftgate opening command, the trunk and liftgate lights illuminate
and remain on for up to 10 minutes. Locking the liftgate turns them off immediately.

On equipped vehicles, pressing the panic button on the key fob turns on headlights,
position lights, and interior courtesy lighting.
Vehicle Lighting with Open / Closed Doors

When doors are open, dome lights, instrument cluster, display, seat lighting,
and ignition switch backlight remain on for 27 seconds.

When doors close, lights turn off within 3 seconds, except the display and ignition
backlight, which remain on for 27 seconds.
Use of Light Switch
- If the switch is in OFF mode, all switch backlights and seat lighting turn off.

With ignition OFF/ACC and switch in parking light mode, front LED guides and rear position lights activate.

With ignition RUN and switch in automatic mode, lighting follows daylight sensor conditions.

In low beam mode, interior LEDs, switches, instrument cluster, and seat lighting illuminate.
NOTE:
Driving above 5 mph (8 km/h) disables response to key fob lighting commands.
Unlocking Doors & Liftgate
Press unlock once to open the driver door or twice within five seconds to unlock all doors,
fuel filler door, and liftgate. Turn signals flash to confirm.
Custom Unlock & Lighting Features
- Configure first-press unlock behavior through vehicle settings.
- Flash lights on lock/unlock can be enabled or disabled.
- Headlights may illuminate up to 90 seconds after unlocking.
- Lock confirmation alarm can be configured.
Liftgate Operation
Press the liftgate button on the key fob twice within five seconds to fully open it.
Additional Key Fobs
Only authorized service centers can program new key fobs. Bring all existing fobs
and ownership documents when requesting duplicates.

Key Fob Battery Replacement
- Remove emergency key.
- Loosen housing screw.
- Separate casing and remove circuit board.
- Replace battery with CR2032 type.
- Reassemble carefully.

Dispose of batteries responsibly according to local regulations.
Remote Start System
Remote start allows engine startup from up to 300 ft (91 m). Certain safety conditions must be met,
including closed doors, hood, liftgate, acceptable battery charge, and transmission in Park.
- No alarm or panic mode active.
- Brake not pressed.
- Hazard lights off.
WARNING:
Never run engines in enclosed areas. Keep key fobs away from children.
Remote Start Messages
- Remote Start canceled — door open
- Liftgate open
- Fuel low
- Time expired
- System reset required
Entering Remote Start Mode
Press the remote start button twice within five seconds. The engine runs for a 15-minute cycle.
Exiting Remote Start Mode
- Press the remote start button once, or
- Allow the cycle to finish.
To drive, unlock the vehicle, enter, and cycle ignition normally.
