Wipers and Washers
The multifunction lever operates windshield and liftgate wipers and washers when ignition is in RUN or ACC.
CAUTION:
- Turn wipers off before automatic car washes.
- Ensure blades are not frozen to the windshield.
- Remove snow buildup to prevent motor damage.
Windshield Wipers
- Rotate lever end to select intermittent, low (LO), or high (HI) speed.
- Rotate backward to MIST for a single wipe.
- Rotate to OFF to stop wipers.
Rain Sensing Wipers
The rain sensor automatically adjusts wiping speed based on moisture detected on the windshield.
- Four sensitivity levels are available.
- Turn off when automatic operation is not desired.
CAUTION:
- Ice or salt may affect sensor performance.
- Wax or silicone products can reduce sensitivity.
Headlights On with Wipers
Headlights automatically turn on about 10 seconds after wipers activate when the light switch is in AUTO mode.
Wiper Blade Maintenance
To service blades, place the lever in OFF and ignition OFF, then move the lever to MIST to position blades for access.
WARNING: Always use service position before working on wiper blades to avoid accidental activation.
Windshield Washers and Headlight Washers
- Push the lever inward to spray washer fluid.
- Wipers perform additional cycles after spraying.
WARNING:
- Do not use washer fluid on a frozen windshield.
- Sudden visibility loss may cause accidents.
Headlight Washers
Headlight washers operate automatically every 11 windshield wiper cycles when headlights are on.
Heated Washer Nozzles (Optional)
Heated nozzles prevent washer fluid from freezing in cold weather.
Rear Window Wiper/Washer
- First detent activates intermittent rear wiping.
- Second detent activates continuous wiping.
- Further rotation sprays washer fluid.
- Backward rotation triggers washer cycles and returns to OFF.
