Two latches must be released to open the hood.
- From inside the vehicle, pull the hood release lever located under the left lower side of the dashboard.
- Move outside and stand in front of the grille.
- Slightly lift the hood and push the safety catch located in the center.
- Lift the hood completely. Gas struts keep it open.
With the ignition in RUN, a red symbol and message indicate the hood is open.

Lower the hood, then gently drop it to secure both latches.
CAUTION: Do not slam the hood to close it.
WARNING:
- Ensure the hood is fully latched before driving.
- Gear shifting remains active even when hood or doors are open — avoid accidental gear engagement.
