Steering Mounted Controls

Lighting Off

Automatic illumination of headlamps:

  • Sidelamps
  • Dipped beam (green)
  • Main beam (blue)
"Motorway" Function

Press the control up or down to flash the corresponding direction indicator three times:

  • Left: downwards passing the point of resistance.
  • Right: upwards passing the point of resistance.
Front and Rear Lighting

Check by means of the indicator lamps in the instrument panel as described in chapter 3.

Direction Indicators

Selection is made by turning the ring.

Lighting-On Audible Warning

On switching off the ignition, all lamps turn off except dipped beam if automatic guide-me-home lighting is active. Turning the ring to "0" then selecting a mode activates lighting control. Audible warning occurs when opening the driver's door if lighting is left on.

Rear and Front Foglamps
  • Rear foglamps (amber, 2nd rotation forwards)
  • Front foglamps (green, 1st rotation forwards)

They operate with sidelamps and dipped beam. Switch off by rotating the ring rearwards twice. In foggy or snowy conditions, manually switch on dipped beams if necessary. Do not cover the sunshine sensor on the windscreen.

Automatic Illumination of Headlamps

Activation: Turn the ring to AUTO; the sidelamps and dipped beams switch on automatically in poor light or with wipers operating. Economy mode may engage after 30 minutes of inactivity; sidelamps are not affected.

Deactivation: Turn ring forwards or rearwards. Manual stalk usage temporarily deactivates the function.

Guide-Me-Home Lighting

Temporarily keeps dipped beams on with ignition off. Manual operation: "flash" headlamps within 1 minute after ignition off. Automatic operation: activate via vehicle configuration menu.

Cornering Lighting

Uses front foglamp to illuminate bends below 25 mph (40 km/h). Activated by direction indicator or steering wheel rotation. System deactivates at higher speeds, low angles, or when reverse gear is engaged. Can be toggled in vehicle configuration menu.

Travelling Abroad

If driving on the opposite side of the road, adjust headlamps to avoid dazzling oncoming drivers. Contact a CITROËN dealer or qualified workshop.

Wipers
  • 2: Fast wipe (heavy rain)
  • 1: Normal wipe (moderate rain)
  • I: Intermittent wipe
  • 0: Off
  • Single wipe: press downwards

Intermittent speed proportional to vehicle speed. Manual wiping required if ignition off >1 minute.

Automatic Windscreen Wipers

Do not cover the rain sensor. Activation: press stalk downwards. Deactivation: move stalk to I, 1, or 2. AUTO mode adapts speed to rainfall intensity. Switch off ignition during automatic car wash to avoid triggering. Wait for ice to clear in winter before activating.

Screenwash and Headlamp Wash

Pull the stalk towards you; timed sweep of wipers occurs. Headlamp wash triggers if dipped beams are on. Rear screenwash and wiper operate by turning the ring past first position. Clear snow/ice from rear wiper before use. Top up levels as per chapter 7.

Special Position of Windscreen Wipers

Refer to "Changing a windscreen wiper blade" in chapter 8. Park wipers normally by switching on ignition and moving stalk, then turn ring to first position.

Rear Wiper / Rear Screenwash

Within one minute after ignition off, any stalk action positions wipers against windscreen uprights for winter parking, cleaning, or replacement.
