Audio and Telematics

First Steps

Use the buttons above the touch screen tablet to access the menu carousel, then press the virtual buttons on the touch screen tablet. Each menu is displayed in one or two pages (primary page and secondary page).

In very hot conditions, the system may go into stand-by (screen and sound completely off) for a minimum period of 5 minutes.

Volume Adjustment

Each source is independent, including traffic announcements (TA) and navigation instructions.

  • Press Menu to display the menu carousel.
  • Increase volume.
  • Reduce volume.
Selecting the Audio Source

Depending on version, available sources:

  • "FM" / "AM" / "DAB" stations
  • "USB" memory stick
  • Jukebox (after first copying audio files to internal memory)
  • Telephone connected by Bluetooth and audio streaming Bluetooth (streaming)
  • Media player connected to the auxiliary socket (jack, cable not supplied)

Short-cuts: using the touch buttons in the upper band of the screen, it is possible to go directly to the selection of audio source or list of stations/titles.

Touch Screen Use
  • Resistive type: press firmly, especially for flick gestures (scrolling, moving map).
  • Do not press with more than one finger.
  • Can be used with gloves; works in all temperatures.
  • Prolonged high temperatures may limit volume temporarily.
  • Clean with soft non-abrasive cloth; do not use pointed objects or wet hands.
Steering Mounted Controls
  • Radio: select previous/next preset station, automatic search for higher/lower frequency.
  • Media: select genre/artist/folder, next/previous track, fast forward/back.
  • Mute: press volume up and down simultaneously to cut sound, press one button to restore.
  • Call/end call on telephone; long press for telephone menu.
  • Change audio source, confirm selection.
Digital Radio DAB / FM Auto Tracking

"DAB" does not cover 100% of territory. When the digital signal is poor, "DAB / FM auto tracking" allows listening via FM analogue automatically. Small delay and occasional volume variation may occur. Digital radio provides higher quality reception and graphical display.

USB Player
  • System builds playlists in temporary memory; initial connection may take seconds to minutes.
  • Reduce non-music files/folders to speed up playlist building.
  • Insert USB memory stick or connect USB device via suitable cable.
  • Playlists update when ignition is off or USB connected; lists are memorised.
Auxiliary Socket (AUx)
  • Connect portable device using an audio cable (not supplied).
  • Adjust volume on device and audio system.
  • Do not connect device to both Jack and USB simultaneously.
CD Player
  • Insert compact discs only. Anti-pirating systems may prevent some CDs from playing.
  • Play begins automatically; press SOURCE to select CD.
