Practical Information: Front Fittings

1. Lower Glove Box

This may or may not be fitted with a lid.

Upper Storage Compartment

Located on the dashboard behind the steering wheel. A recess makes lifting of the lid easier when opening. Guide it to its rest position. To close, guide the lid then press the centre gently.

Any liquid which could spill risks causing an electrical short circuit and therefore a potential fire.

Only hang flexible bags which are not too heavy on this hook.

Overhead Storage Unit

Located above the sun visors and can accommodate various objects (jumper, file, gloves, etc.). Openings concealed by the sun visors allow you to see and access stored objects. Maximum permitted weight: 5 Kg. Do not place objects which could present a risk to occupants.

Central Storage Console

This console offers additional storage; it can be removed and clips onto a base which also incorporates two cup holders at the rear. Ensure objects in the cup holder are secure. Any liquid spill risks damage to the instrument panel and centre console controls.

Sun Visor

Fold down to prevent dazzle from ahead. A pocket is provided in the driver’s sun visor for toll cards, tickets, etc.

Storage Compartments Under Seats

Provided in the floor under front seats. Move the seat forward for easier access. Vehicle tools are located here. For more information, see chapter 9, "Changing a Wheel".

Automatic Operation of Courtesy Lamps

The front courtesy lamp comes on:

  • When the key is removed from the ignition
  • When the vehicle is unlocked
  • When one of the front doors is opened
  • For vehicle location using the remote control

It goes off gradually after ignition is switched on and when the vehicle is locked. Cab lamps come on when one of the front doors is opened. Load space lamps come on when a rear door is opened. Permanently on or off can be set manually with the ignition on.

Crew Cab – Bench Seat

Placing in fully folded position:

  • Move front seats forward and fasten centre seat belt strap.
  • Ensure seat belt straps and buckles are positioned correctly along side panels.
  • Release the seat back using control A.

The crew cab has a 3-seat bench in row 2 integrated with the load retainer grille. Access via sliding side door. No need to assist tilting movement with free arm.
