About Your Multi-View Rear Camera

The audio/information screen can display your vehicle’s rear view. The display automatically changes to a rear view when the transmission is put into (R).

Multi-View Rear Camera Display Area

The rear camera view is restricted. You cannot see the corner ends of the bumper or what is underneath it. Objects may appear closer or farther than they actually are. Always visually confirm it is safe to drive before backing up. Weather, lighting, and high temperatures may also restrict the rear view.

If the camera lens is covered with dirt or moisture, use a soft, moist cloth to keep it clean.

Guideline Settings

  • Fixed Guideline: On – Guidelines appear when transmission is in (R); Off – Guidelines do not appear.
  • Dynamic Guideline: On – Guidelines move with steering; Off – Guidelines remain static.

Fuel Information

Fuel Recommendation: Using lower octane gasoline may cause engine knocking and damage. Gasoline with a pump octane number below 87 can cause engine damage.

Top Tier Detergent Gasoline: Use where available to maintain engine performance and reliability. For more info, visit www.hondacars.com (Canada: www.honda.ca). For top tier gasoline info, visit www.toptiergas.com.

Unleaded gasoline: 87 or higher. Premium unleaded: 91 or higher.

Notice: Use detergent gasoline without harmful manganese additives (MMT). Gasoline with up to 15% ethanol is acceptable. Avoid methanol. Switch stations or brands if undesirable symptoms appear.

Fuel Tank Capacity

  • Models without SPORT mode: 12.39 US gal (46.9 L)
  • Models with SPORT mode: 12.4 US gal (47.0 L)

How to Refuel

  1. Stop vehicle with pump on left rear side.
  2. Turn off engine.
  3. Unlock driver’s door using master door lock; fuel fill door unlocks automatically.
  4. Press indicated area to release fuel fill door; hear a click.
  5. Insert filler nozzle fully, keeping it level. When full, nozzle clicks off automatically. Wait ~5 seconds before removing.
  6. Shut fuel fill door by hand. Use lock tab or master door lock switch to unlock when needed.

Fuel filler accepts only standard service station nozzles. Using smaller or non-standard devices may damage the filler opening.

Warnings

  • Gasoline is highly flammable and explosive. Stop engine, keep sparks/heat away, handle outdoors, and clean spills immediately.
  • Do not overfill fuel tank. The filler nozzle automatically stops; refueling beyond may overflow.
  • If refueling from a portable container, use the provided funnel.

Improving Fuel Economy and Reducing CO2 Emissions

Fuel economy depends on driving conditions, load, idling, habits, and vehicle condition. Optimize with proper maintenance:

  • Use recommended engine oil viscosity.
  • Maintain specified tire pressure.
  • Avoid excess cargo.
  • Keep vehicle clean; remove snow/mud buildup to reduce weight and wind resistance.

Direct calculation is recommended to determine actual fuel consumption. In Canada, fuel economy numbers follow a simulated test. More info: http://oee.nrcan.gc.ca/

Handling Precautions

The turbocharger is a high-precision device delivering compressed air to increase horsepower. To protect it:

  • Avoid revving or sudden acceleration when engine is cold.
  • Replace engine oil and filter according to Maintenance Minder.
  • The turbine rotates at high speeds (100,000+ rpm) and reaches high temperatures (700°C / 1,292°F). Proper lubrication is critical to prevent bearing damage or abnormal noise.

Maintenance Minder

Follow the driver information interface for scheduled oil and filter replacement intervals.

Temperature Gauge

After high-load driving (high speed/hilly terrain), gauge may show elevated temperature. This is normal and returns to normal after idling or driving ~1 minute.
