Dinghy Towing
Two-Wheel-Drive Vehicles
Caution: If the two-wheel-drive vehicle is towed with all four wheels on the ground, drivetrain components could be damaged. Repairs would not be covered by the vehicle warranty.
Two-wheel-drive vehicles should not be towed with all four wheels on the ground.
Four-Wheel-Drive Vehicles
Only dinghy tow four-wheel-drive vehicles with a two-speed transfer case that has an N (Neutral) and 4N setting.
Warning: Shifting a four-wheel-drive vehicle's transfer case into N (Neutral) can cause the vehicle to roll even if the transmission is in P (Park). Set the parking brake before shifting.

Locks
Locks are lubricated at the factory. Use a de-icing agent only when absolutely necessary, and have the locks greased afterward. See Recommended Fluids and Lubricants.
Washing the Vehicle
Wash often and out of direct sunlight to preserve the finish.
Caution: Do not use petroleum-based, acidic, or abrasive cleaning agents. Follow all product instructions and safety precautions.
Caution: Avoid high-pressure washes closer than 30 cm (12 in). Use power washers below 1200 psi. Remove accessories and turn off wipers if using automatic car wash.
Rinse well before and after washing. Dry with a soft chamois or all-cotton towel.
Cleaning Underhood Components
Caution: Do not power wash components with warning symbol. Avoid solvents or aggressive cleaners. Use water only. Max 2000 psi and 80°C (180°F) water. Keep spray nozzle 30 cm (1 ft) away.
Finish Care
Do not apply aftermarket clearcoat sealant/wax. Wash off foreign materials promptly. Hand wax occasionally. Do not wax uncoated plastic, vinyl, rubber, decals, or flat paint.
