Press ON/OFF to turn the system on or off. A white indicator appears in the instrument cluster when cruise is turned on.
Keep the system off when not in use to avoid accidental activation. To set cruise control:
When set, a green cruise control indicator appears on the instrument cluster and a cruise set speed message appears on the DIC and HUD if equipped.
If brakes are applied or * is pressed, cruise is disengaged without erasing the set speed. Press RES+ briefly to return to the previous set speed once the vehicle speed reaches about 40 km/h (25 mph) or more.
Use the accelerator to increase speed. Once released, the vehicle slows to the previous set speed. Briefly applying SET− while overriding cruise sets it to the current speed.
Performance depends on vehicle speed, load, and hill steepness. Press the accelerator uphill if needed. Cruise Grade Braking helps maintain speed downhill by using engine/transmission. To disable or enable Cruise Grade Braking for the current ignition cycle, press and hold the Tow/Haul button for 5 seconds. See Automatic Transmission and Driver Mode Control for details.
