Curve Speed Control Light
If equipped, this light may illuminate green when ACC is actively controlling the vehicle speed and detects a sharp curve on the road ahead. ACC automatically slows the vehicle down while navigating the curve and may increase speed out of the curve, but will not exceed the set speed. See Adaptive Cruise Control (Advanced).
Super Cruise Light
This light comes on to show the status of Super Cruise. See Super Cruise.
Door Ajar Light
This light comes on when a door is open or not securely latched. Before driving, check that all doors are properly closed.
Information Displays
Driver Information Center (DIC)
The DIC is displayed in the instrument cluster. It shows the status of many vehicle systems. DIC information is broken down into three main zones:
- Control Panel: A touchscreen display to left of the instrument cluster.
- Left Zone: Displays on the instrument cluster to the left of the speedometer.
- Right Zone: Displays on the instrument cluster to the right of the speedometer.
y or z: Use the thumbwheel to scroll to the previous or next selection.
V: Press the thumbwheel to open a menu or select a menu item. Press and hold to reset certain displays.
DIC Information Display Options
Select which info display to view on the DIC through the Settings menu or by selecting show in cluster in Vehicle Information on the infotainment display. See Settings or Vehicle Information. If the vehicle has a diesel engine, see the Duramax diesel supplement.
DIC Information Displays
Locations and options:
Control Panel
- Trip 1 or Trip 2 and Average Fuel Economy: Shows distance traveled (km/mi) and average fuel economy (L/100 km or mpg). Reset by touching and holding the display.
Left Zone
- Time/Date: Current date and time.
- Auto Lane Change: Status of driver-requested lane change when Super Cruise is active.
- Efficiency Gauge: Green ball = efficient driving, yellow above = inefficient, yellow below = aggressive braking.
- Average Speed: Shows vehicle average speed. Reset via vehicle information screen.
- Timer: Start/Stop/Reset timer for elapsed time.
- Off Road: Displays vehicle pitch, roll, road wheel angle, 4WD status.
- Battery Voltage: Current battery voltage.
- Trailer Brake: Shows trailer gain (0.0–10.0) and output bar graph for connected trailer.
- Oil Life: Shows remaining oil life. CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON appears when low. Must be reset after each oil change.
- Fuel Economy: Displays current/average fuel economy.
- Oil Pressure: Shows engine oil pressure (kPa/psi).
- Engine Hours: Total engine run hours.
- Coolant Temperature: Shows engine coolant temperature.
- Transmission Fluid Temperature: Shows transmission fluid temperature.
- Air Filter Life: Shows remaining engine air filter life. Must be reset after replacement.
- Brake Pad Life: Displays remaining front/rear brake pad life. Reset after replacement.
- Tire Pressure: Shows approximate tire pressures. Amber indicates low pressure.
- Off: No information displayed in cluster info areas.
Right Zone
- Audio Now Playing: Displays actively playing audio.
- Navigation: Displays navigation information.
- Audio and Navigation: Displays both audio and navigation together.
- Off: No information displayed in cluster info areas.
Vehicle Information
Access via T on Multi Function Controller (MFC) or touchscreen. App displays 3 cards per page. Examples of cards:
