Head Restraints
Introduction
This section explains how to adjust and remove head restraints.
Always ensure seats are adjusted to the correct position.
All seats have head restraints, approved for that specific seat only.
The center rear head restraint is only for the center seat.
There are notches in the support so head restraints lock in different positions.
Stops prevent head restraints from being removed unintentionally.
Correct head restraint adjustment
Adjust so the upper edge aligns with the upper portion of the head.
Should not be lower than eye level.
Keep the head close to the head restraint.
Head restraint adjustment for shorter persons
Slide the head restraint all the way down even if head is below the top edge.
There may be a small gap between head restraint and backrest.
Head restraint adjustment for taller persons
Move the head restraint up all the way.
WARNING
Driving with removed or incorrectly adjusted head restraints increases injury risk.
If someone is sitting, always use the head restraint correctly.
Adjust according to the person's height.
Never adjust head restraints while driving.
NOTICE
When removing/installing, avoid hitting the headliner or seat parts.
