The tools are located in the luggage compartment. The presence of the various tools depends on the vehicle.
This is used to tighten/loosen the wheel bolts and, depending on the vehicle, to access the emergency spare wheel.
This tool is used to remove the wheel trims.
Do not leave the tools unsecured inside the vehicle as they may come loose under braking. After use, make sure the tools are correctly positioned in their housings: risk of injury.
If wheel bolts are supplied in the tool kit, only use these bolts for the emergency spare wheel: refer to the label affixed to the emergency spare wheel.
The jack is designed for wheel changing purposes only. Under no circumstances should it be used for carrying out repairs underneath the vehicle or to gain access to the underside of the vehicle.
This is placed in cage 4 underneath the vehicle.
To take out the emergency spare wheel:
If the emergency spare wheel has been stored for several years, have it checked by your Dealer to ensure that it is safe to use.
To store the wheel in the cage:
This is located in the luggage compartment.
To access it:
Ensure that the emergency spare wheel or punctured wheel and the wheel tray are correctly positioned so that the luggage compartment carpet can be properly fitted. After lowering, check that luggage compartment carpet 7 is correctly positioned in its indexing stops.
If the emergency spare wheel has been stored for several years, have it checked by your Dealer. Vehicles fitted with an emergency spare wheel different from the four other wheels:
The kit repairs tyres with tread A damaged by objects smaller than 4 mm. It cannot repair all types of puncture, such as cuts larger than 4 mm, or cuts in tyre sidewall B. Ensure the wheel rim is in good condition.
Do not pull out the foreign body causing the puncture if it is still in the tyre. Do not attempt to use the inflation kit if the tyre has been damaged from driving with a puncture. Carefully check tyre sidewalls before operation.
Driving with underinflated, flat, or punctured tyres can be dangerous and may make the tyre impossible to repair. This repair is temporary. A punctured tyre should be inspected and repaired by a specialist as soon as possible. When replacing a tyre repaired with this kit, consult a specialist. Driving may produce vibrations due to the repair product injected into the tyre. The kit is only approved for inflating tyres originally equipped with the kit. Never use on another vehicle or object. Avoid spillage on skin; rinse immediately if contact occurs. Keep away from children. Return empty bottles to an approved dealer or recycling organisation. The bottle has a limited service life; check the expiry date and replace through an approved dealer.
Depending on the vehicle, the kit is located on the left side of the luggage compartment (4x2) or in the emergency spare wheel tray under the luggage compartment carpet (4x4).
If minimum pressure of 1.8 bar is not reached after 15 minutes, repair is not possible. Do not drive the vehicle; contact an approved dealer.
Before using the kit, park at a sufficient distance from traffic, switch on hazard warning lights, apply handbrake, ask all passengers to leave vehicle and keep them away from traffic.
Open the kit, remove caps 1 and 3 (do not remove cap from bottle), then screw bottle 2 to its base 3. With engine running and handbrake applied, unscrew valve cap on wheel and screw inflation adapter 6 onto valve, then connect adapter 8 to accessories socket 9 on the dashboard.
Once tyre is inflated correctly:
Precautions: Do not operate kit more than 15 consecutive minutes. Missing or loose valve cap may compromise tyre seal. Always use original valve caps fully tightened. Do not travel more than 120 miles (200 km) after repair. Reduce speed and never exceed 48 mph (80 km/h). Affix sticker on dashboard to remind driver.
