Lamp and Bulb Replacement

Hints

  • Lights and bulbs are essential for vehicle safety. If you are unfamiliar with procedures, have the service center perform them.
  • Only change bulbs when they are cool to avoid burns.
  • Always turn off the lights affected to prevent short circuits.
  • Observe the instructions provided by the bulb manufacturer to avoid injury or equipment damage.
  • Have any work on xenon headlights performed only by a service center due to high voltage risk.
  • Do not touch the glass of new bulbs with bare hands. Use a tissue, cloth, or hold by the base.

Light-Emitting Diodes (LEDs)

Some equipment uses LEDs installed behind a cover. These are Class 1 LEDs.

  • Do not remove the covers or stare into the unfiltered light for prolonged periods to avoid retina irritation.

Headlight Glass

Condensation may form inside the external lights in cool or humid weather. Driving with the lights on will evaporate the condensation. The headlight glass does not need replacement. If excessive water forms, have the service center check it.

Headlight Setting

The headlight adjustment can be affected by changing lights or bulbs. Have the headlights checked after replacement.
